
Atari has officially announced Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 for Nintendo Wii and reveled some aspects of the gameplay with the wii controler.
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 combines game aspects of RPG, fighting, and action games.
With over 100 playable characters, 3D destructible environments, and nine different game modes, this installment promises to at least be the most comprehensive Dragon Ball title to date.
And its storyline spans Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball GT, and Dragon Ball Z. But what about the wii controller?
Matt Collins, Director of Marketing, Atari, Inc., said:

The press release mentions in specific that players will be able to execute Goku’s Kamahameha move by “moving both hands to execute this devastatng energy attack.

WarioWare Is now another game for the Nintendo Wi console, so get ready to get it.

excerpt: “Nintendo gave TIME the first look at its new Nintendo Wii controller–but before I pick it up, Miyamoto suggests that I remove my jacket. That turns out to be a good idea. The first game I try-Miyamoto walks me through it, which to a gamer is the rough equivalent of getting to trade bons mots with Jerry Seinfeld–is a Warioware title (Wario being Mario’s shorter, fatter evil twin). It consists of dozens of manic five-second mini games in a row. They’re geared to the Japanese gaming sensibility, which has a zany, cartoonish, game-show bent. In one hot minute, I use the controller to swat a fly, do squat-thrusts as a weight lifter, turn a key in a lock, catch a fish, drive a car, sauté some vegetables, balance a broom on my outstretched hand, color in a circle and fence with a foil. And yes, dance the hula. Since very few people outside Nintendo have seen the new hardware, the room is watching me closely.
It’s a remarkable experience. Instead of passively playing the games, with the new controller you physically perform them. You act them out. It’s almost like theater: the fourth wall between game and player dissolves. The sense of immersion–the illusion that you, personally, are projected into the game world–is powerful. And there’s an instant party atmosphere in the room. One advantage of the new controller is that it not only is fun, it looks fun. When you play with an old-style controller, you look like a loser, a blank-eyed joystick fondler. But when you’re jumping around and shaking your hulamaker, everybody’s having a good time.
After Warioware, we play scenes from the upcoming Legend of Zelda title, Twilight Princess, a moody, dark (by Nintendo’s Disneyesque standards) fantasy adventure. Now I’m Errol Flynn, sword fighting with the controller, then aiming a bow and arrow, then using it as a fishing rod, reeling in a stubborn virtual fish. The third game, and probably the most fun, is also the simplest: tennis. The controller becomes a racket, and I’m smacking forehands and stroking backhands. The sensors are fine enough that you can scoop under the ball to lob it, or slice it for spin. At the end, I don’t so much put the controller down as have it pried from my hands.”
The new Wii controller will make the warioware titles a big hit on the nintendo Wii console, with all the movements you will need to do with your controller for this game, hopefully we can get also a Mario Party for the WII console to maximize the use of the Wii controller.

Call of Duty 3 for Wii has been anounced by Activision
Activision have announced that the war epic series, Call of Duty, will be heading to all next-generation videogames consoles (PS3, Xbox 360, WII).

Activision Got the Global rights to develop console, handheld and PC games based on Hasbro’s renowned TRANSFORMERS brand, and in the press release states that a Transformer Game will be Released in July 2007.
“The first game will be tied to the much-anticipated July 4, 2007 movie release of the live action TRANSFORMERS film from DreamWorks Pictures and Paramount Pictures.”
So maeby we can Expect a new Transformers WII game for the next year.

David Yarnton, in an interview with GamesIndustry.biz about the new Nintendo WII name, and this is what David told to GamesIndustry.biz.
“I think there are a lot of words out there like that that are used for other brands, companies and things like that - words that have different connotations and so on,” he said. “I really think that if we get out of the gutter and the juvenile side of things, it’s just a word. It’s Wii. Actually, it’s not even a word, because it’s something that we’ve created from zero.”

Controller
The Wii controller sets aside the traditional controller seen in other mainstream consoles in an attempt to appeal to a larger audience. The controller is shaped like a television remote control and is held with one hand. Due to its symmetrical nature, the Wii’s controller is able to be used by either hand, unlike other controllers. The controller can also be rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise and used like the NES controller.
he controller is also able to sense motion; a sensor placed near the television allows the computer to sense the controller’s position in three-dimensional space. Other sensors in the controller itself allow it to sense its tilt and yaw. This allows players to mimic actual game actions, such as swinging a sword or using a flashlight, instead of simply pushing buttons. An early marketing video showed actors miming such actions as fishing, cooking, drumming, conducting an orchestra, shooting a gun, sword fighting, performing dental surgery, and what seems to be, a game of Super Mario Bros. with one handed play.[9]
The controller also features an expansion port at the bottom which will allow various attachments to be added to the controller. Nintendo has revealed one of these attachments to be a unit which features an analog stick and 2 trigger buttons. It will connect to the main Wii controller via a short cord, and its appearance while connected to the main controller has led it to become dubbed “The Nunchaku”. Nintendo has stated the aforementioned “Nunchaku” add-on may be bundled with the Wii console.
Nintendo has also announced a controller “shell” which will resemble a traditional game controller called the “Classic-Style Expansion Controller”. The Wii “remote” will fit inside this shell which will allow gamers to play games using a traditional controller while retaining the “remote”’s motion sensitivity. According to Satoru Iwata, it is meant for playing “the existing games, virtual console games, and multi-platform games”.[2]
Despite the controller’s similarity to lightguns which are only compatible with standard-definition cathode ray tube televisions, Nintendo has stated the Wii and its controller will be compatible with all televisions including digital projectors.
The Nintendo Wii will feature parental controls, prohibiting young viewers from viewing inappropriate content. This allows parents to set the age level of the system, and when a disc is inserted, it will read the content rating encoded on the game discs; if this rating is greater than the system’s age level setting, the game will not load unless the user correctly enters a password to override the setting.
For instance, a game carrying an ESRB rating of M for Mature, which is intended for those over the age of 17, will not play on a system that is set to only allow games rated E for Everyone (six and older) and EC for Early Childhood (three and under).
This will be found in all systems released around the world; it is confirmed that the European units will use the PEGI rating system, North American units will use the ESRB rating system, units for the Japanese market will presumably use the CERO rating system, German units will use the USK system, and Australian units will use the OFLC system.
One of the most anticipated features of Wii is its game download service, dubbed the “Virtual Console.” .
Using this Virtual Console service, users will have the ability to download and play many or all Nintendo-produced NES/Famicom, SNES/Super Famicom, and N64 games for a small fee.
More notably, some games may offer free retro downloads as a bonus for the purchase. Nintendo has also announced that games developed for the Sega Genesis and TurboGrafx 16 consoles will be offered via the Virtual Console download service.
While the gameplay will be the same for all of the retro titles offered via the Virtual Console, Nintendo has stated that some of the games may be improved with sharper graphics or better framerates. In addition, gamers may be able to download games that were not originally released in their region, and some multiplayer games may be playable online, if it is technically possible.The Virtual Console service will not be used exclusively for retro games, however. Nintendo has stated that they are interested in using the service to distribute new, original content.
According to a Japanese press release, “all downloaded games will be stored on the 512 [MB] flash memory built into the system”. To prevent illegal copying, downloaded games will feature a proprietary DRM system
Wii Connectivity Specs
The Nintendo Wii will have built-in Wi-Fi , allowing games be played online via a wireless hotspot or router.Nintendo has also provided a device that may be able to connect the Wii Console online via a Windows XP computer, and a USB port, as well as a Broadband connection, rather than buying a Wifi router
Nintendo announced that the consoles will be able to connect to one another wirelessly for LAN applications. Along with this comes the ability to use “Download Play.” Currently featured in Nintendo’s DS , this allows for multiplayer network games to be played across multiple systems with only one copy of the game being played loaded into a participating system.
It has also been suggested that the Nintendo Wii will feature connectivity between the system and the Nintendo DS.
