This is some new info about the upcoming wii game Godzilla: Unleashed
“(no online multiplayer planned as yet)…The Wii’s nunchuck handles moving and jumping while the wiimote dished out all the attacks. With these controls, monsters will now be able to perform all primary actions independent of their movement. For example, Godzilla can now walk in one direction while attacking an enemy with his claws in another, fire a weapon at a different enemy and swing his tail at a third target, all at the same time. No wonder this guy is so good at destroying Tokyo.”

SAN MATEO, Calif. — April 6, 2007 — Capcom®, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today announced that the incredibly successful Resident Evil® series, with over 30 million games sold worldwide, is coming to the Wii™ video game system from Nintendo with two new titles. This summer, Capcom will release Resident Evil® 4 Wii Edition, a new version of the award-winning game that incorporates the control functionality of the Wii Remote™. Capcom will be bringing a new game, Resident Evil®: The Umbrella Chronicles, to the Wii at a later date.
“Resident Evil has become one of the premier franchises in the games industry, with more than 30 million RE games sold around the world,” said Jack Symon, director, product marketing, Capcom Entertainment. “The innovative controller functionality of the Wii will allow us to design innovative, original game play never before seen in a Resident Evil game. With RE4, we’re challenging the Wii hardware to meet Resident Evil, while in The Umbrella Chronicles, we’re adapting Resident Evil to the innovations of the Wii.”
Resident Evil® 4 is one of the highest rated games on Game Rankings.com and Metacritic.com, garnering dozens of awards and nominations for its amazing game play and incredible re-invention of the “survival-horror” genre. This celebrated game now comes to the Wii with added Wii Remote and Nunchuck™ support, allowing players to immerse themselves in the game as never before. With RE4 Wii Edition, Capcom is offering new and more immersive sense of control to players, while keeping all of the game’s incredible game systems intact. As Leon Kennedy, players will explore a town overrun by cultists, mutants and mind-controlled villagers, using the Wii Remote to aim, fire, slash and avoid oncoming adversaries with intuitive motions and movements. RE4 Wii Edition will also contain the additional content included in the PlayStation® 2 computer entertainment system version of the game.
Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles is a brand new game in the Resident Evil franchise, with familiar locales from the entire series, created specifically for the unique characteristics of the Wii hardware. This action/shooter hybrid reveals the back story behind the fall of the Umbrella Corporation by exploring locations from Resident Evil 0, 1, 2 and 3 as well as new never-before-seen locations, such as Umbrella’s stronghold. Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles combines first-person, light-gun style combat with interactive pathways, multiple weapons and new enemies to create an entirely new Resident Evil experience that could only be delivered on the Wii.

This is an excerpt from the Hands-On of the Nintendo Wii game Spider-Man 3 by Game Informer
While the Wii definitely lacks the raw horsepower that the PS3 and 360 employ, the system does have a unique control system. When Wii owners were told that they’d be able to sling web by actually approximating a web-slinging action, it’s safe to say a lot of senses were tingled. The scheme makes a lot of sense in theory, and it works surprisingly well in practice, too.
Since the controls definitely take some getting used to, we started off by going through a tutorial level. Bruce Campbell gave us pointers as we learned how to shoot web with the right arm by flinging the Wii’s remote while holding down B. After a few false starts, we were flying through the tutorial’s rings like a pro. After that, we learned how to shoot another line with the nunchuck and use both arms simultaneously to activate a special boost. Fortunately for him, Spider-Man is a pretty resilient character—he certainly took his share of headers during the first few minutes. Once we got our bearings, though, we were able to easily zip between buildings and zoom through the city.

An excerpt from an MTV blog post by Stephen Totilo of the Boogie Wii Hands-On:
The style part really came in with the way Caballero used the Wii remote. The nunchuck moved the alien’s body, but the remote moved its head. The remote had to be pointed at the screen, the point of focus showing up as an icon of two eyes. Wherever those eyes landed on the screen was where the alien looked. Spinning those eyes got its head twirling. Moving them up and down forced a cool nod. As he and the alien got into it, the crowd cheered and lights flashed. A good time was being had by all.
Ubisoft Ships Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Today Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest video game developers and publishers announced that its TMNT™ video game, based on the upcoming CGI feature-length film starring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles®, is now available at video game retailers in North America. Developed by Ubisoft’s world-class Montreal and Quebec City studios, TMNT, the video game, is rated E10+ and is available for the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, the PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system, Windows® PC, Game Boy® Advance, Nintendo DS™, Nintendo GameCube™ and Wii™.
The new TMNT video game incorporates the same dark and dangerous environments and extends the adventurous themes featured in the new TMNT CGI film being developed by Imagi Animation Studios and Mirage Licensing and distributed by Warner Bros. The TMNT movie, which opens in U.S. theaters on March 23, 2007, takes place in a New York City plagued by secretive villains and strange, otherworldly creatures. Faced with these perils, the Turtles will experience their most trying time both as heroes and as a family, as Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo lose their focus and struggle to maintain their unity and ninja discipline. In the movie and in the highly immersive video game adventure, it’s up to Leonardo and the faithful father figure Splinter to reunite the band of brothers and save New York City from a monstrous evil that lurks around every corner. Video game players will engage in over-the-top acrobatic navigation, collaborative combat and powerful fighting moves.
“Ubisoft is proud to be introducing everyone’s favorite Turtles to the next generation of video games,” said Tony Key, vice president of marketing at Ubisoft. “Ubisoft has worked closely with the creators at Imagi and Mirage to develop an immersive gaming experience that gives players a chance to expand the adventures in the film by submerging themselves in the sewers and scaling the rooftops of New York City in true ninja style.”
TMNT Video Game key features include:
Intense Ninja Fighting: Harness the power of Ninjitsu and become a master of combat. Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo are playable and each have unique acrobatic moves, weapons and combat skills, such as Michelangelo’s fast nunchuck face slap and Raphael’s powerful Sai throw.
Unique Acrobatic Navigation: The Turtles jump from rooftop to rooftop, scale tall buildings, dive into sewers and race through every corner of the city to confront their enemies.
Powerful Tag-Team Moves: Together the Turtles can team up to reach locations unattainable alone or defeat the enemy.
Diverse Enemies and Bosses: Features characters from the movie and the original comic book series – including the Purple Dragon Street Gang and the infamous Foot Clan – and a whole new group of enemies creep out of the shadows to face the Turtles.
Nine Wii Mini-Games: The Wii version features nine exclusive mini-games and each character has different movements and challenges. For example, Leonardo is forced to take action in a crime-ridden hotspot and in a game called “Shooting Alley” as he throws his Shuriken to keep enemies at bay.

Next moth Koei is releasing San Goku Shi XI (Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI) for the PS2 and the Wii. The games are fairly the same strategy game you would expect from the series except for the “action mode” found only in the Wii version. What happens in action mode is a bunch of horsemen appear and you have to time remote sword slashes or point to shoot arrows. Then there is a combination of shaking the nunchuck to catch up with the horsemen and pointing your remote to shoot arrows.
This are some new info about the Nintendo Wii game My Sims by Nintendo Power Magazine
- The original town you start in is the same town of your grandparents
- Among others, the town will have a mad scientist, magician, chef, hair dresser, and florist
- Townsfolk will ask you to build things for them
- Artistic style was chosen to obtain worldwide appeal. The Sims doesn’t sell that well in Japan.
- Development team was partially inspired by the Sesame Street song “Who Are the People in your neighborhood?”
- Use Nunchuck for “direct movement”, Wiimote to point and move objects

This is an excerpt from the Preview of the Nintendo Wii Game Disney’s Meet The Robinsons by 1up
Meet the Robinsons is very much an adventure game, and not a platformer, although the level constructions may look that way sometimes. Developer Avalanche really wanted to keep the emphasis away from timing jumps and on the fun of exploring the Robinson world. The controls clearly reflect this notion because jumping is automated and most interaction is done through a context sensitive button. One control feature that is specific to Wii is the ability to target enemies separately from what you are attacking. This is done by flicking the Nunchuck and pointing with the Wii Remote.
While most who consider themselves gamers will scoff and eagerly dismiss this game, Meet the Robinsons looks to be one of the better movie-to-game adaptations.

The user starts playing a real copy of the Zelda: Twilight Princess, but doesn’t have the nunchuck plugged when the game is booting up. Before plugging in the nunchuck the user switches the disc with a backed up game, then plugs in the nunchuck, and the game plays well with the Backed Up game
