This is an excerpt from the Preview of the Nintendo Wii game by Game Pro

There is a story line that pushes the gameplay, but the game also allows for exploration and some good old-fashion peddle-to-the-metal driving. When finished racing through the streets, transform into robot form and interact with just about anything around, whether it be a car, bus, or building. The game offers players freedom of choice on a massive scale.

With 9 playable characters gamers will experience the power of the all-spark in true next-gen style. The console game is set to release this summer on the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PS2, and PC. The game teleports the well-loved characters from Hasbro’s property into an epic battle and will have gamers glued to their televisions and monitors.

This is an excerpt from the Preview of the Nintendo Wii game Transformers by 1up

So to re-cap: we have a lot of Transformers coming at us from all directions. If you have a gaming machine, chances are you will have the chance to try out any version of this game. The hard part is deciding on which version to get, but that’s left up as a personal choice. Or you can just grab a big bucket of popcorn and watch the film on the fourth of July.

This is an excerpt from the First Look article about the Nintendo Wii game Transformers: The Game by TVG

As a mid-twentysomething, there’s nothing more nostalgic (other than listening to the screeching loading tones of Sinclair Spectrum) than thinking back to Transformers, the kids cartoon that cynics would describe as being little more than a thirty-minute animated toy advert. Powerful robotic characters with names as evocative as Megatron, Starscream, Grimlock, and of course, Optimus Prime, conjure up exciting adventures between Autobots and Decepticons, as they continue a millennia-long war across the galaxy from the planet Cybertron to planet Earth…and back again. Playing with the toys (and inevitably making some sort of transforming noise along the way), as they changed into a myriad of cars, jets, and guns, whiled away the hours - the branded ‘Robots in Disguise’ even featured in my first experience of going to the cinema back in the mid-1980s, where I (and countless other five-year olds) cried at the death of Autobot leader, Optimus Prime.

This is an excerpt from the Interview of the Nintendo Wii game Tranformers: The Game by Super Hero Hype

SHH!: We’ve all seen the trailers for the “Transformers” movie. What can you tell us about the game? What kind of game will it be?

Daniel Suarez: “Transformers: The Game” is a 3rd person, action-adventure game, where you choose to play as either Autobots or Decepticons in an all out battle to gain possession of the All Spark (a mystical cube that gives life to all Transformers).

In the game, you’ll have the opportunity to play as your favorite Transformers – Optimus Prime, Star Scream, Bumblebee, Megatron and many more. Each character ranges in size from 12 – 30 feet in height and has the ability to convert at anytime from robot form into a variety of vehicles such as a car, truck, plane and helicopter. Each character has its unique set of moves, weapons and abilities to provide a unique playing experience with each character.

The choice you make at the start dictates the story line you’ll play, but ultimately, players can choose to play both sides for the complete game experience. The choice to destroy the earth or protect it is yours. The locations, missions and playable characters are different for the Autobots and Decepticons campaigns. The Autobots campaign takes place in the key locations of the film and elaborates in those areas for the biggest impact in terms of gameplay. The Decepticons campaign asks the question, “What if the Decepticons were able to win?” and lets you play it out that way. You get to play the Decepticons and blow everything in your path to bits playing as Megatron, Starscream and a squad of other deadly Decepticons at your control.

Lastly, we’re making a game that is for Transformers fans. Since the very beginning, we’ve been very conscious of the heritage of this brand and have worked hard to integrate characters, locations and even subtle acknowledgements to G1 anywhere we can. There are a lot of special surprises, unique elements and bonus features that fans will enjoy.
