This is an excerpt from the Hands-On Article of the Nintendo Wii game Mario Party 8 by AMN

In our playtime, as said above, we’ve been mostly playing multiplayer. While Mario Party single-player might be adequate, it’s obvious the real fun to be had in any version lies in multiplayer. There are several modes here and fans will already be familiar with many of them. There is Party Tent, Star Battle Arena, Mini-Game Tent and Extra Tent.

Party Tent, if you will, is the “main” multiplayer mode. The mode lets you embark on an experience similar to what can be found in the single-player mode. Up to four can play – with CPUs filling in if you need them – with the goal being to traverse a game board of surprises and challenges, collecting coins and stars. At the end of the game, the player with the most stars and coins wins. Sure, it’s Mario Party on Wii, but you’ll feel right at home. Gamers take turns moving around the game board, rolling a die to see how many spaces they can move. At the beginning of each turn, you flick the Wii-mote to stop a spinning die floating above your character’s body. Whatever number it stops on represents how many spaces your character will automatically move.

This is an excerpt from the Hands-On of the Nintendo Wii game Spider-Man 3 by Game Informer

While the Wii definitely lacks the raw horsepower that the PS3 and 360 employ, the system does have a unique control system. When Wii owners were told that they’d be able to sling web by actually approximating a web-slinging action, it’s safe to say a lot of senses were tingled. The scheme makes a lot of sense in theory, and it works surprisingly well in practice, too.

Since the controls definitely take some getting used to, we started off by going through a tutorial level. Bruce Campbell gave us pointers as we learned how to shoot web with the right arm by flinging the Wii’s remote while holding down B. After a few false starts, we were flying through the tutorial’s rings like a pro. After that, we learned how to shoot another line with the nunchuck and use both arms simultaneously to activate a special boost. Fortunately for him, Spider-Man is a pretty resilient character—he certainly took his share of headers during the first few minutes. Once we got our bearings, though, we were able to easily zip between buildings and zoom through the city.

Exclusive to the Wii version of Mortal Kombat Armageddon is the Endurance Mode, where players will put their killing prowess to the test, eliminating as many enemies as they can.

If you’re concerned about the graphics or any of the gameplay being dumbed down during the porting process, you can cast your fears aside because Mortal Kombat Armageddon is shaping up to be just as great as the PS2 and Xbox versions that were released last year.

This is an excerpt from the Preview of the Nintendo Wii game Spider-Man 3 by GameSpot

With Spider-Man 3 slinging its way to theaters in May, Activision had us down to get some exclusive hands-on time with the Wii version of the anticipated game. Although the game is taking the same approach that it’s PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 cousins are in terms of using the movie plot as its base and expanding on it, developer Vicarious Visions is offering content specifically for the Wii that ranges from a unique control scheme to exclusive comic characters to altered gameplay mechanics. We had the chance to try out a sampling of levels from a work-in-progress version of the game to see if it swings.

An excerpt from an MTV blog post by Stephen Totilo of the Boogie Wii Hands-On:

The style part really came in with the way Caballero used the Wii remote. The nunchuck moved the alien’s body, but the remote moved its head. The remote had to be pointed at the screen, the point of focus showing up as an icon of two eyes. Wherever those eyes landed on the screen was where the alien looked. Spinning those eyes got its head twirling. Moving them up and down forced a cool nod. As he and the alien got into it, the crowd cheered and lights flashed. A good time was being had by all.
