Manhunt 2 details from a GameStop posting:

An experiment at a secret research facility has gone catastrophically wrong. Daniel Lamb and Leo Kasper are the only surviving subjects. The Pickman Project will stop at nothing to hunt them down and stop the truth from getting out.

Demented screams echo around the dank asylum that has caged you for the last six years. You open your eyes. A white-coated body slumps to the floor through your shaking hands. A bloody syringe slips from your arm. Waves of confusion and paranoia crash over you. You have no idea who you are or how you got here.

The door to your cell is open. One choice. One chance. They took your life. Time to take it back.

An excerpt from a GameDaily interview with David Jaffe (God Of War Creator) that took place during a Nintendo event at GDC:

GameDaily BIZ: So I’m surprised to see you here at a Nintendo event.

David Jaffe: Well I’m with a buddy of mine and she had an invite, and she said, “Hey you wanna go to the Nintendo party?” and I’ve never met Miyamoto before, and maybe he’ll be here, but I don’t know… I love Nintendo. I can’t get my hands on a f***ing Wii. I go to my GameStop every couple mornings, and they’re like, “No, sorry!”

BIZ: [Nintendo of America president] Reggie [Fils-Aime] is right over there; why don’t you go ask him for one?

Jaffe: I don’t know, it’s not like he’s carrying them around like Santa Claus… but I’m grateful to be here. It’s pretty exciting.

This is an excerpt from the Review of the Nintendo Wii Game Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Double Agent by GameStop

Take the complicated controls of this popular superspy series and make them even more finicky, lose the online versus mode, and you get Double Agent for the Wii.
The Good: Challenging campaign features a better story than previous Splinter Cell games; good amount of cooperative two-player missions.
The Bad: Little in the way of new gameplay in the campaign; competitive multiplayer modes from other versions have been cut; the control scheme is unusual but flawed; only one save slot, shared between single-player and co-op play.

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Amie revealed that the heretofore Euro- and Japan-only bundle Wii Play will, in fact, get a North American release. Speaking with GameSpot staffers in New York today, Fils-Amie said the decision had been made to bring the nine-game collection and controller pack to US gamers sometime next year. The title brings a collection of entry level titles to the mass market console–included in the mix are table tennis, hockey, fishing, and billiards games. No price was mentioned.

IGN published an article where they affirmed that u can buy your Wii Component Cables Rigth Now by Phone

November 14, 2006 - Eager Nintendo fans worried about the availability of component cables in stores at launch now have a new option available to them. It was previously believed that these cables would only be sold at Nintendo, Circuit City, GameStop, and Best Buy online stores, and only after launch; however, it has now been divulged that the cables can in fact be purchased before the launch of the Wii, but not online.

In fact, the only way to secure component cables at this point in time is to call 1-800-255-3700 and order them by phone. The cost of the cables themselves is $29.95 plus tax and shipping fees. Standard shipping is only an additional $5, but it may not be the most reliable way to ensure that you will get the cables at launch. Two levels of expedited shipping are available: 3-5 business days costs $7 and 2 days costs $13. Prior to writing this, we called and ordered the cables for ourselves, so we can verify that this is, in fact, quite true and quite convenient.

While this may not be a viable option for everyone — many gamers out there may prefer to save money by picking up third-party cables in stores — at least gamers who want to make sure that they can play Wii games in 480p at launch have a surefire alternative.
