Check out the Nintendo Wii Nunchuck.

A new rumor: The Nintendo Wii Wireless Nunchuck

An unconfirmed source has revealed that Nintendo are currently working on a wireless version of their Nunchuck attachment for the Wii remote.

This comes after many complaints from gamers who feel that the dangling wire which links the two devices, simply distracts from gameplay, especially in games which require significant movement of the arms, such as Wii Boxing or Call of Duty 3.

The Wii Nunchuck gets it’s name from the martial arts weapon, the ‘’Nunchucks'’ because of the similarities in design; a chain/wire connects two heavier objects at either end. The wireless Nunchuck attachment will possibly undergo a name-change to make sense.

There’s no reason for Nintendo not to make future wireless devices for the Wiimote - a wireless reciever would plug into the remote in place of any wires linking the two. Communications between Wiimote and Console would be as normal. The downside to this is the added drain on batteries, though with Nintendo’s track record with their previous wireless technologies, we’re sure they will leap this hurdle.

dual rumble = drain batteries fast
dual speakers = twice the poor sound quality, twice the battery usuage…wireless nunchuck would be a good idea

Ok how about just make another wii mote but put a joystick on it? The FPS remote? Or dual Wii shock as sony would put it…LOL

Or better yet just use two wii motes? Or better than that …..LOL I forgot….

Why not make the cable retrackable if that is even a word? That may put a strain on the cord over time though.

I’m putting money on a rechargable battery soon like the DS’s after the shaq remotes come out.

a wireless nunchuk would mean that it would require batteries as well, as if the initial wiimote hasn’t drained every battery in my house already. I honestly have had no problem whatsoever when it comes to the cord getting in my way. the only person I know who actually complained about it claim that the cord kept whipping his arms, further investigation revealed that he was being an overactive jackass with wii boxing and wondered why his mii wasn’t doing anything. (duh, he was moving too quickly)
funny story about this same kid, he also doesn’t wear the strap around his wrist. lord knows how many times I warned him and justice was firmly served when the controller flew out of his hand and planted itself firmly in the midst of his tv screen. while pitching in wii baseball. he now has to pay for the new tv and his wii was sold!(guess who got his controllers, WOOHOOOO!!!)

Ok since i have posted on other things i HAVE to say something here,……..the Nunchuck would have to be called a grenade, it just sounds cool, the Nintendo Grenade, it would have to have a Strap also like the Wii-Mote and it would also have to have a sensor on the end like a Wii-Mote. Anything to Speakers and wireless Sensor Bars its just not needed. the wii mote already has a speaker and the nun…Grenade, wouldn’t need one. and it would also be better if it was wireless because you dont have the connecting cord in the way, like on Rayman, when you run faster or swing, the connector wire always seems to make its way to your face or you get your arms tangled up in it, so hey a wireless nunchuck, yeah that would be great. But Please Nintendo make a cool name, the Grenade sounds great but, thats only my opinion.

yeah this won’t work its pointless and dangorous. If you guys thought alot of poeple are going to kill tvs with the normal remote the new one thats wireless would be exstremly hard to put a strap on because of the odd shape and would indefnatly lead to many many more tv deaths!!!!!
WHY IN THE DO SOME PEOPLE THINK IT GETS IN THE WAY YOUR ARMS WOULD HAVE TO BE 5 FEET FREAKING LONK IN ORDER TO OUT STREACH THE FREAKING CORD!!!!!!

im with kyle here, this is just complete idiocity. its probly just some freakin sony fanboy whose tryin to make the wii look bad by saying that the wire gets in the way. but the truth is, it doesnt. you’d have to be swinging the romot around like a dumbass having no idea of what your doing just like bubble boy’s friend did. and the only good thing that comes out of that……is nothing.
