Matt Casamassina revealed that nintendo is working in original titles for the nintendo virtual console.

Matt, we know that Nintendo is going to have all of its classic games on the virtual console. But what about new games?

Matt responds: Well, yes, I can confirm that Nintendo and its teams are already creating an assortment of ground-up original titles for the Virtual Console. I know of several games in the works, but unfortunately am unable to write about them specifically. What I can state is that many of these titles will be very simple and intended as easily accessible gameplay outings.

Umm… I kind of already figured that, I mean it makes sense, whip out some new SuperNintendo graphic era games and make $10 a pop. With a massive installed base it’s a goldmine. I’m looking forward to it I loved the SNES NEW SUPER METROID!!!! maybe…

The Wii is like a mix of the new-and old. There are no new games. Tennis, Supers Smash Bros., Metroid, The Legend of Zelda , etc.They are all classic games with an innovative controller and futuristic graphics.

The wii definitely is a mix. All of the classics, a personal favorite is zelda, but maybe new games should be manufactured. i mean you can only run with the same idea for so long before it runs out of steam. Sure…. Zelda has never failed… yet …but if you keep on producing new versions, how many new ideas for an epic adventure can you come up with. eventually all of the storylines will be repeats. I have recently been playing Final Fantasy XII for the PS2 and love it. Why cant the nintendo come out with something similar. I like the non turn-based interaction and having the “monsters” visible for your attack. It is a great game and nintendo already has a few final fantasy games…. why not another one like XII? So all in all i like the downloading games idea and the grafics are pretty decent and the games are good…. i have yet to play zelda but i cant wait
