Super Smash Bros. Brawl wont use the wiimote

While efforts were made for Super Smash Bros. Brawl to use Wii‘s unique controller (wiimote), it will likely use a standard GameCube controller and not the Wii Remote or analogue attachment, this is where the controller shells will be important for games that wont use the wiimote capabilities.
Shigeru Miyamoto and Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai felt the remote was making the control scheme too complex, as Smash Bros. emphasizes simple gameplay.

It will use Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, but we are not sure how at this time.

There would be too much in a game like Smash Bros. to use the Wii-mote’s features properly. I have no problem using a regular Gamecube controller.

do we know if its gonna use the GC controller or the super uber SNES looking Wii controller cause that thing looks SUPER FINE!

i will be happy if it’s just a regular controller like the gamecube one but no cordless ones.

Why can’t it be on GameCube it’s better that way & it’s easier.

I’m glad a Gamecube controller is used for Super Smash Bros. Brawl, because using the Wii remote would be a little too complicated

i think if the creators of super smash bros brawl really wanted to make it a all time best seller they should have a mode where you will be able to level up your character as the mode progresses…..kind of like an rpg get it

it was rummored that the gamecube controler will be a controler possibilty from the arthor of game informers magizine

a new controller option is also rummored.it is said that the new controller will have the design of the nes controller but with four sholder bottons and the x y and c bottons

i’d be fine with either the retro controller, a gamecube controller, or the wiimote tipped on its side… anyways i have no doubts about nintendo and especially the ssb franchise… This console will mark the downfall of Sony’s reign and ruin Microsoft’s little time in the spotlight in the gaming industry , Nintendo will rise up again. Oh also there has been some word of Square making a console, if true than Sony will be screwed when it comes to KH and FF franchises XD
