The Second secret is that characters will be customizable.
Each character will have an array of new moves which you can assign and adjust including speed and power statistics, and even the ability to customise costumes.

Anyways, if this info is true then I’m overwhelmed with excitement. I think the technique customizing was one of the things that the LOTR games got right.

Smash Stores would be awesome! You would probably customize Kirby’s chef move to Mike or Link using Light Arrow instead of normal or making Bowser a heavy-weight good for speed.

Wow. I, too, thought this idea up a while ago (like, right after I first played Melee). My idea for the next SSB was, first of all, to be online (done). But my big idea was character customization. For example, ever character would have a pool of potential moves that you could map to the four move spaces (B, Bup, Bdown, Bforward). My example I always use is Samus because she’s my favorite character (and a good candidate as she’s had alot of different moves/weapons throughout her games). So Samus’s move pool could include Charge Beam, Ice Beam, Spazer, Wave Beam, Plasma Beam, Bombs, Drop Bomb (When you use bombs while charging in Super Metroid, you drop 5 bombs that are, uncharacteristically affected by gravity. This could, I think, be useful in SSB), Missiles, Screw Attack, Grappling Beam, etc. I could map the Ice Beam to B, Charge Beam to Bforward, Dropping Bombs to Bdown and Plasma Beam to Bup. Also, I had an idea for “super moves”. They’d be a lot more powerful but would come with the draw back that they’d take up two moves slots, limiting you to three moves, in addition to unique drawbacks for individual moves. For example, Samus’s super moves could be Power Bombs, Super Missiles, and Hyper Beam. So let’s say I wanted Hyper Beam, an attack that’s heavily damaging and has good knockback, but also has a long cooldown time, at B. It’d also have to take up another spot, so I put it at Bforward. Now I can use it by hitting either of those two buttons. On the one hand I have decreased flexibility, being down one move. But on the other, I have a really powerful attack. Now they HAVE implemented super moves, but instead of my method, you have top get the SSB logo item, as seen in the trailer. I also was for costume customization, instead of lousy pallet swapping. So when you play as Mario, you could just be regular, or Dr. Mario, or Mario with FLUDD, etc. Then, of course, you could save you move-ilated, costume-isized character to a memory card and take it with you.
You don’t need to worry. I won’t sue Nintendo for using my uncopyrighted ideas. It’s just cool to see that they came up with the same ideas and improvements that I did.

C-c-customizable? DEAR GOD! This is…this is…too friggen sweet! Imagine the possibilites! Link with all of his arrows…or maybe he can transform into the other links (ie: Goron, Zora, Deku and my all time favorite uber badass of all time, Oni Link/Fierce Diety) Or different swords, or his diffent equipment, (Can you tell I’m a Legend of Zelda fan?) Anyways, this is going to defeintly change Super Smash Bros as we know it.

Oh, friggin’ sweet! I didn’t even think of Oni Link! With him around, what need would there be for any of Link’s other costumes? …Ever?

This sounds LAME. I hate it I hate it. I don’t want to have to change the characters’ stats around and change their movesets!! I LIKE SSB THE WAY IT WAS.

what about the rumor of megaman and sonic being in there? I really dont like sonic, but imagine samus and megaman in one team that’d be awesome and also about oni link, he should be the way he was meant to be… fierce, like his sword would only be used in special moves and he would just beat the crap out of other characters bare fisted like imagine if his grab was like capn. falcons but instead he punched you in the face ending with one of those strong ass back kicks link does? and those “super specials” wouldn’t it be awesome if he like called down majora and began fighting with him obliteratin anyone between them… that would be cool…. but thats just what I think

uhmm, that’s such a lie. I’m pretty sure you won’t be able to customize the stats of the characters, but there will be different costumes. There were in the first two, were there not? Anyways, don’t always believe what you read about for this game. I say just wait it out (even though to me and countless other people, that’s IMPOSSIBLE) and we’ll see who’s right and who’s wrong on December 3rd.

Right now I can almost tell you for a fact that the character isn’t customizable except for changing the colour of his costume. If it was true they’d have said that on the official SSBB website. Secondly sonic is in brawl which I find pretty lame and also I hope they add in Midna or Lucario because they are both kick ass.

Oh and one more thing. If you could customize, they would probably either add in the Mii character or a character from Animal Crossing which would be very kool.

i think they should hav it for gamecube also because alot of people still have their gamecubes and still want to play the BRAWL game on it but dont wanna spend money on the wii
they should have it for WII and the gamecube

honestly, i dont care about the destructable terrain, i like the rumor that u can customize the character, like Sonic or Link
for link he should wear his ordon uniform with his ordon sword and sheild. that would be cool. Sonic can look like shadow or knuckles. that would b friggin’ sweet!!
