Masahiro Sakurai has updated the Japanese website with some replies about Super Smash Bros. Brawl again. Yet again, it’s bad news. “This time, we’d like to stress easiness over the small details of combat, so overall it might become somewhat easier.” Easiness? This is not good.
He also had another update about characters. He says that just because a character is popular in Japan doesn’t mean he will be using it.

Smash BROS. Can get easier? It uses like 3 buttons on the controller, oh well, I hate the series, so this doesn’t effect me.
You would be surprised how complicated people can make it. If you check out a site like Smashboards, you will discover some of the more advanced techniques like Wavedashing, L-Cancelling, Teching, and the like. Some of these are borderline abuses of the game physics, but they are used for more tournament level of play. The statement about making easier may mean that they are removing these sort of techniques.
NOOOOOOOO. Please dont make the game easier. THE WIZ think that what makes it fun, its boring if it is easy. And don’t take off the thing thats makes you dodge on the game, thats like one of the best parts of the game.
i’m gonna agree with the wiz on that 1, making it easier is dumb if anything they can make it harder
please dont make the game easier i like a challenge
i think making the game easier is the dumbest thing i ever heard so far. if people cant handle playing with teching then they should play with other newbs who dont tech either. otherwise make it harder or just leave it the way it is, so the people who kow how to play can actually have fun when playing
Moose is really a fag
This is a mistranslation. It should say “you will be able to play the game with more ease then before”. Which means it will be easy to pick up and play, and harder to master. The translator of the website has said this
Ok i don’t know what they mean by easier. but i do hope they take out those cheap glitches like wavedashing.
