Star Wars Wii Game to be Revealed at E3

Andreas Garbe, gaming journalist and blogger, has posted message on his personal blog,that an exclusive Star Wars Game for the Wii console will be announced and revealed on tuesday.

The Star Wars cant be out of the new nintedo wii console, it has been the desire of many video game fans to see a Star Wars game appear on the machine to figth with ligth sabers in real life with the inovations of the wii controller.

According to Garbe, Nintendo and Lucasarts will unveil the new game during Nintendo’s media briefing which begins tomorrow at 9.30am L.A. time.
It is good to note that Falafelkid has been privy to exclusive gaming information before and posted about it on his personal blog. A good example is recently when he let the cat out of the bag regarding Ubisoft’s upcoming FPS for Wii, Red Steel.

Andreas Garbe is a freelance reporter for a private television station called RTL II but has become well known in web circles through his personal blog.

use joystick and C/Z buttons on nunchuck to force grab or choke, and utilize the axis tilt for throwing.
make prop add-on for wiimote to add a red/blue saber blade.
eg: like the gun prop for FPS.

I wonder how it will handle saber to saber impacts? You can’t just stop the persons arm, but you can’t just have the sabers go through each other either.

i got the wii and i love starwars so i hope oh i hope they make a starwars game for wii think of it. litesaber battles with the remote and a gun with all the clones/stormtropers

It will be the hardest game ever if you have to fight with a computer jedi and the first hit you are dead. Nice!

Awww man. it’s not a question if it will be a game using lightsabers, but how. It better be a first person lightsaber game, and on top of that, it would be amazing if you could create and build your own lightsaber, somewhat like in kotor but diferent in a way that you can control exactly what it looks like. that would be nothing short of a killer app. Plus the force powers with picking things up and moving them through the air. My god, that is a star wars fans wildest wet dream!

I just tested out the game at nintendo headquarters. i almost pissed my pants and frolicked like a little girl. its that good.

Anyone have an update or more info on Lucasarts making a Starwars game for the Wii?
I would really love to be able to play the game from the dark side. Just like the old Tie Fighter game on the PC where you got to fly for the Empire and put down those pesky rebels.

I think it would be awesome if they made a Star wars game for the wii cuz i alredy have a wii. First person no doupt. wii mote forlight saber nunchuck for force or have two lightsabers. also in light saber battles it should be like movies were if u get hit once u die but u would have a bar so every time u get hit it should automaticaly block it and the bar would go down + u could choose your own finishers. you would create ur own lightsaber from type (normal, double sided, one in each hand, or light whip) colour (red, green, blue, purple, or yellow) + details on the handle.

So I do a google search on “star wars wii”. No website is conclusive about anything. Have there been any updates? Has LucasArts mentioned having a Wii Star Wars game? Or have they canned it? Are there any helpful websites. I’m not a big video gamer but this game and Wii sports is the only reason I bought this console. Some one pease shed some light on this. Thanks in advance.

Man, i dont know cause im not hearing anything about starwars coming out. So i doubt that this game will come out this year. It will probably come out next year cause i cant find anytin about the game, unless nintendo is doing a really good job at hiding it. p.s. Man a star wars game on Wii would kick arse! It would have to be in 1st person in my opinion, in a similar style to something like Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. Force powers would be awesome aswell, especially force choke and saber throw, stuff like that

I just looked it up and its true!! You get to be Luke Skywalker’s son! And Han Solo’s and Leia’s sons, as well! And Chewbacca’s son! That one from the Star Wars Christmas special! And Chewbacca’s father! You get to watch Jefferson Airplane in that crazy headset that he wore on the show! And lyou get to be Bee Arthur and Art Carney in the Mos Eisley Cantina! You get to serve drinks with the Wiimote and the Nunchuck! You also get to be young Obi Wan Kenobi, and go visit the Galactic Library to research bounty hunters! This is going to be the best Star Wars game ever!

I was watching A.O.T.S. and this game…” Star Wars The Force Unleashed” was being introduced, and it didn’t show a particular game system. (that i remember) So, i would like to know when the release date is, if its announced, and what specific console its for. Thanks guys…

I actually have some old ideas rotting in my head for a old Star Wars game that i was hoping would get a sequel, but here it is… You start out as a child, choosing your race and personal info. Then as you progress in game play, you get older and learn better abilities. Once you know the basics, and are about a quarter into the game you get to make choices which lean toward the dark or light side, and eventually find a “Master” of your likings to train you. Certain possibilities become available as you become further to the dark/light side, like if you are dark, you have the chance to kill your Master and obtain his/her lightsaber, and maybe even to drain their life and force, (new ability possibility) and become stronger that way: and for the light, your Master can even become too evil, and you will have to kill him/her to save others.
Just an idea, there are a lot of holes, but that is for you to fill in with your ideas.
