I really hope that the new starfox is going to like the ones for SNES and N64, those were the two that i played till my eyes bled. Sooner or later, nintendo is going to stem way to far from the original concept of the game, and eventually come up with something that is totally not like the SNES and N64 gameplay.

Maker of the Next Nintendo Game

I hope StarFox [Wii] has a storyline that ties to one of the multiple endings on StarFox Command. It’ll be cool to get a chance to see or play as Marcus McCloud or watch Dash follow his father’s footsteps. Perhaps seeing Falco play the elderly role like Peppy of StarFox Assault.

You know, honestly, I think this game would be A LOT better without any kind of extensive story plot like the one in Command. If I were to buy this game, I would have the tendency to PLAY the game, not WATCH it. Plus, all extensive video game story plots, in general, tend to be very confusing and gay.

Redex-StarFox Ownz.

I have a Wii… it’s the best system in the entire world right now, and in my opinion. But NOTHING and I mean NOTHING can top a StarFox game, it’s been the best series since Nintendo began, and it’s the main reason for me even liking Nintendo or their products. Obsessed? Maybe. Too much StarFox? Never.

Terror of the Sky

I agree on no big storyline, put the original Starfox team back together (ok Peppy can stay in the greatfox with ROB) but also make more teams like Starwolf (not tooo many more) but maybe put the ladies together (u know, Krystal, Lucy, that cat who like Falco) and a couple more, then give players the option to b whoever and where ever in the Lylat system, kinda like World of Warcraft. And also make the missions/storyline multiplayer so someone can play Falco or Slippy and back me up!

alright we all know that Fox and Krystal are in love and are nintendo’s new romantic couple. Might as well make it happen. Keep it simple keep it effective. We all know that somehow they are ending up togather. And as “Terror of the Sky” make it like world of warcraft. Choose your missions and play them how you want…kind of a free roam. Careful “Shigeru Miyamoto” this one is in you hands.

I really hope the controls for the Ar Wing revolve around the remote used as a flight stick, and you use the nun chuck to point the guns, or even better would be to use JUST the remote and use the directional pad to move the guns, or better to switch weapons.

star fox is the best with controller

I sort of hope they don’t use just tilt control. It was fun in the Wii mini-game, but nothing really special. You have to stay with the traditional controller and everything that it does in particular with the arwing. A fires gun, B bomb ,C loop/turn around etc.

I say that Kristal should be out of the Starfox team because of looking after her son Marcus. So far the team is Fox, Falco, Slippy and who else? I say that Bill on Starfox 64 who is Fox’s friend should be in the team or Kat, Falco’s girlfreind, how’s that?

I’m also one of those people who are obsessed with starfox. Unfortunately, Assault came off as sort of cheesy for me, and the ground missions were tedious. Motion blur would be sweet in the next game. Think about it- battleships flying by in gigantic, blurry masses as you fly at breakneck speeds through the combat zone. Better keep it to a minimum, though.

im just going from what ive heard, but Nintendo is not planning to use any of the endings from Command as a springboard for the next starfox game, that they are just going to pick up where Assault left off and pretend like the story lines in Command never happend. the reason being if they made a game that continued from Command no matter what ending they use it will spark controversy and might result in a loss in sales. in my honest thought they should continue from Assault but try and the character graphices they did in Adventures, even though i liked Assault the best, Adventures has the best character graphics.

Woohoo!
I love Starfox! And I’ve already designed new Arwings and Weapons. Shigeru Miyamoto should contact me. Hmm, im only 15years but I can make heavy designs!
I think the Starfox game for Wii should be a mix of “Call Of Duty”,”Devil May Cry”,”Far Cry”,”Crysis” and somthing heavy flying game. Wordls were you can walk free shoot, bomb and slaughter enemys or take a tank, an arwing, a submarine, a boat a hovercraft, an arcopter or other vehicles or call the graet fox.

a concerned fan

I think the Star Fox series needs a game with a good storyline to recaptivate its fans. I think one could be found based on the concept of a civil war. It would be something fans of Star Fox haven’t seen yet. Tommorow’s dogfights and battles would be fought against yesterday’s friends and allies. As for gameplay, I don’t mind getting out of the cockpit from time to time, but they need to make those times actually worth it. Lay off the mindless running around and blasting everything.

Perhaps you’d be able to controll it by pointing at the screen, and you’d barrel roll by shaking the wiimote. Or maybe by circling around the arwing with the wiimote quickly. Or maybe they’ll have periphrial. Or it could be controlled via wii-wheel. Or with the Wiimote/nunchuck. The possibilitys are (almost) enless!

When I think about talking animals, Looney Toons is the first thing that comes to mind. So, i don’t know, maybe a more comedic element would help the story plot a bit…. That and better dialogue that’s not all like “TEAMWORK!” and “FRIENDS ARE IMPORTANT!” stuff you would see in Kingdom hearts, which is pretty lame and in a sense embarassing to the player. And yes flight stick ALL THE WAY.

I just hope they make it similar to n64 or snes. Online play, would be great but not something im “dying” for. I also just hope they include all of the original starfox characters from n64, bill, pigma, katt, AND peppy back in his arwing! These characters seemed to be barely included or not even in some of the starfox games Assault and Adventures. Multiplayer, looking forward to that as well, hope its great. Can’t wait for the release of the game, i bought a nintendo ds just to play starfox command, id say it was worth it, just because i love seeing all the characters again.

Sounds exciting. I’m pretty sure that the control scheme will turn out fine. They’ve already made a short Wii verison of the first Starfox in Wario Ware: Smooth Moves. I’m pretty sure it will work similar. Anyway, I agree that it would be cool to have Marcus as a playable character, and to have Dash Bowman as the new antagonist. Nintendo has successfully got everything wandering what really happens at the end of and after Starfox Command.

I thought up some controls for this game about 2 months ago.
So i figured I’d Post them here, and share with you all 1 or 2 features I think would be cool.

First for Controls

Nunchuck:
Control Stick (Arwing): Move around
Control Stick (Ground): Move forward, strafe left/right, or move backwards
Z Button (Arwing): Turn ship vertical, which way you turn depends on turning direction. (Double tap to barrel roll, 1 of 2 ways to barrel roll)
Z Button (Ground): Use Reflector Shield (I’ll explain that later)
C Button: Change camera, long, short, first person.
Jerk Down: Crouch
Jerk Up: Jump if standing, if crouched, stand up.
Jerk Left/Right: Roll in that direction
Wiimote:
Wiimote motions (Ground): Move crosshairs.
Flick Wiimote Left/Right (Arwing): Barrel Roll in that direction.
B Button: Fire Primary (Ground it will fire your current weapon, in Arwing, it will fire lasers.
A button: Fire secondary (Ground it pulls out your energy knife, only fires Bomb’s in Arwing.)
- button: Options Menu
+ button: Pause Screen
D-Pad (Ground): Change weapons.
D-Pad (Arwing): Down uses brake, Up boosts.
Flick Wiimote Up: Somersault
Flick Wiimote Down: U-Turn
Nunchuck AND Wiimote:
Jerk up: Bail out of damaged craft, or exit craft.
Jerk down: enter craft.

The reflector shield is the one like in SSBB, except it will reflect any weapon. It runs on batter power, which recharges faster if you didn’t burn the whole battery down.

Obviously I want co-op. Which also means I don’t want some pissy side campaign, I want to follow the main storyline. The second player would play as a new character named Aaron Shepherd, who is also a Fox. This includes its special plot along with the 2 from the single player game. It is if Aaron Shepherd becomes a member of Star Fox, or he dies.

The plots are defeating the new threat, and one that can be avoided if the player wishes to do so, the Romance Plot between Krystal and Fox. (This plot requires some extra work from the player, like if she gets shot down, the player abandons his craft and helps her out of her downed Arwing/Landmaster.)

Tell me what you think about it on this forum, hope you enjoyed reading this. (I had fun creating the controls and the features. If you all want, I’ll post the rest of the features I thought out.)

If they make a starfox for the wii i think that they should kill off slippy cuz no 1 likes him. Yogan’s ideas on controlls are awesom and i like the idea of co op but a new character on starfox wouldn’t be what fox would do. they should allow you to play as marcus near the end of the story and you play as the new starfox with every one on the team (except slippy) flying on missions. Also i think they should bring the assault land combat back just re work it and make new weps.

Da Kid (D.K)...(Donkey Kong??)

It could be both ground and air missions. On ground with the zapper. Like going forward, backward, and strafe left and right with nunchuck stick, and turn around with pointer. In air you could steer with a wheel. If you wana turn left, turn the wheel left and if you wana turn right, turn the wheel right. If you wana dive, then tilt the wheel forward, and if you wana get up again, tilt the wheel backward. To get higher speed you could push the wheel forward, and if u wana break, pull the wheel backward. I think that it would be fun… do YOU??

Well, i like when the character is not only in an arwing. He must do missions by foot too! And he must use all kind of weapons! you know, in command, there were missions in planets(like titania and aquas) where could be better to use a land master or a blue marine(i only saw that in 64). It´s silly to use the arwing for that kind of missions(there were enemies walking!!) I hope this new star fox have all kind of missions (like assault)

The reason I introduced a new character was, well what if the second player hated Falco, Krystal would be awkward if both players were guys/girls and they followed the romance plot, and we all hate Slippy, and Marcus would have to be like 16 to even be around Fox before he retires, Bill is basically a General in the Cornerian Army so its doubtful he would join, and Katt, just doesn’t seem to have what it takes to be a member of Star Fox. So I introduced Aaron. Besides, the co-op campaign doesn’t have to be canonical does it? Just it follows the main story, and in sequels that include co-op, the co-op just picks up where the co-op before it left off.

The only issue I see wrong with a new Star Fox is, who will be the bad guys? I mean, the aparoids weren’t much of a threat, seeing as a team of 4 killed them, and Andross is dead. I thought mabye they could introduce a new enemy from another system. Mabye the alternate universe of Lylat System, where the Cornerians are evil, and the new Star Wolf would be the Alternate Universe Star Fox (AUSF for short, which actually sounds cool.) The Alternate Star Fox fly the alternate colors of the Normal Arwing, and both teams; AUSF and Star Fox, fly Arwings. The Alternate Universe Lylat is ruled by Andross, because he won the war against Pepper.

what kind of shit are we talking here? this are all wild and crazy ideas, do you think the makers of the new game are reading this all? no, the would do a shit of that what we are saying! you shouldn’t throw with ideas any longer, thats nonsense. spend your time on other things! we can’t change anything, and in moment its a myth that there will be a new game on wii, i think its not really so offisial, BUT i want that it is official so i BELIEVE that thers a new game, but there aren’t any informations about it so i must make my own. i must make my own ideas. peace digga! uääääblblblblbl! oh my god i’m going crazy, so forget what i said, ..er … wrote. im only an unimportant german bratwurst. Even if it isn’t confirmed, we can all have a little faith in this. Every system excluding the NES had Star Fox. So unless they are ditching the Star Fox for good, they will make a new one. Also, if they were going to say Star Fox was dead, they would have said so at E3. Don’t lose faith yet my fellow fans!

It doesn’t have to be ruled by Andross, it could very well be an evil version of General Pepper. Thats the glory of Alternate Universe, anything that sounds opposite of what your thinking of IS the alternate universe.

Nintendo should keep this a Nintendo ONLY game. The game will get a T rating because of all the retards trying to link violence to gaming rather than some of the T.V shows (DBZ mabye?) so they should get the most out of the T rating, suggestive themes (obvious reasons, not Fox on Fox action that would go under AO), fantasy violence (obviously), and mild langauge (that ones questionable) will suffice to get it barely in the T rating.

MAN i say a mouthful when i decide to type.

I just hope Command is non-canon and that StarFox gets changed out of his bell-headed design. I hated the story/stories in that game. They were so awkward, and the characters were unnatural in personality in comparison to the other games. The misspelled Caruso meant to be Caroso and speaking in third person which he hasn’t done since that one game? Not to mention the Anglars were less believable and ominous than the Aparoids. I will say the gameplay was great though. I’d maybe like it if the next game was the origin of the original StarFox team with a bit about how StarWolf came to be. Brawl did hint that James and Wolf knew each other. Otherwise, if they’re being moved ahead in time, don’t age them too far and maybe somehow bring Miyu and Fay, the orignally intended StarFox team females. Doesn’t mean I don’t like the last name-less Krystal even if she was a cat from the Rareware Dinosaur Planet Adventures game that later Nintendo picked up to change it to StarFox Adventures.

In summary, Nintendo should make Command non-canon, change character design (again) and either tell about the past or go a little ahead in time in the next game.

Hopefully Nintendo’s somewhat done with the game and can announce a release date and synopsis at some point.

‘Frontiers,’ and the April Fool’s ‘Origins’ are only rumors.

By the way, I typed this all through my Wii. |D

Oh, and no sideways Wii remote control. Leave the controls like they were with the N64, just transfer it to the Wii in similar concept. I want to be able to both aim and move with the control stick.

Hmmm..They should make it like a normal starfox game….a FEW ground missions…and the rest arwing and the threat should be all the bad guys from starfox ……Andross….aporaiods(however you spell them)…the creatures on command never played it…and Starwolf team being paid again..lol …Starfox should Have slippy…he always give shield gauge and slippy can be helpful.
Starfox Team:Fox,Krystal(yuck!),Slippy,Falco,Peppy…thats it.
Starfox Enemies:Andross,Aporaids(cant spell lol.),creatures from command and starwolf.
This should not be hard for nintendo at all….Starfox is very easy to make -_-.

@Foxi911:
It’s not like they all should return when all except StarWolf have been killed. Way to think it through. And you’re looking for Aparoids and Anglars. There could at least be a computer where Andross may have copied his brain and DNA to. THEN Andross could be brought back. The monitor to represent him could show his real or SNES face. That makes it more explainable to bring him back instead of being a ghost in Command. He’s MegaMan X’s Sigma, he could be reoccuring from escaping through a computer network then forward, but it would get repetitive.

Star Fox’s first 3 games bored me. To much flying around. It has to be a varity like SF asault. Of course it should have online v.s. in air and on ground. No multipull endings! It makes it so there is more story then gameplay.

Dude, multiple endings does NOT mean that its going to be a movie. You want a movie go play MSG4. The endings in command obviously had lots of cutscenes, so everyone that played are like “omg, no variety for this one.” Assault bored me after I bet it once, knowing I’d play the same mission, for nothing special at the end. If you ever have a hard time following a plot you WANT to follow, you have some serious issues. Multiple endings are only triggered if certain standards are met, everyone alive every mission, missions completed in under 8 minutes, stuff like that. New endings gives players a definite reason to go back and replay so they can get all the endings. I love going back to old games and replaying them to get special stuff, (Halo 3’s Security armor and Katana for an example, and yes I do have that stuff.)

Yes, I do hope they include ground missions in this game. The controls I gave should make it enjoyable to replay those missions, so long as when someone goes ground with you, they aren’t entirly useless (as in hanging in one area doing nothing.)

Multiple endings, the ones I am thinking off, require the player to actually persue them. So it wont cause any confusion like it probably did in command. The co-op endings you won’t even know which one your going to get, Aaron could be a member, or be killed you just won’t know until you beat the game.

They need to keep all of the characters from n64… Adding Krystal was stupid in my opinion.
@Fang
The only thing i agree with you is not having multiple endings…
How could you even say the first 3 games bored you… N64 was great and i think it is the best out of all the starfox’s now… Sure “some” ground missions, but not a lot. Starfox started flying in the Arwing and thats how it should be.

Why would they have the aperoids…. They died off in Assault, it would make no sense if they were brought back to the new starfox. It wouldn’t hurt to have a new evil. And ofcourse Starfox should have slippy. He was there since the beginning. I hope they get rid of Krystal… If anything they should have just included Katt in Assault and Adventures…
What do you mean this shouldn’t be hard for nintendo to make! It is not an easy game at all to make. (Heck, im pretty sure no game is easy to make…) Just take a look at all the voice clips they had in n64. Also the sound tracks, and what if there is new characters?
@Da Kid (D.K)…(Donkey Kong??)
No…..
@Yogan
Love your comments and the “Controls” comment that you posted. Very nice it almost sounds like you’re making the game O.O

Well that is all i have to say. I hope nintendo makes another starfox because i would have no idea what i would do with out no more starfox…

If only I was making the game. But if i did, everyone here would hate it because I’d add in my ‘new’ character for co-op and have like 20 different endings, all varying on how you finished missions, if everyone survived, no lives lost, etc.

Krystal cannot be removed from the Star Fox team. The main reason I see she was added for was for Fox to have a girl. He was the only main Nintendo character not to have one. (Mario/Peach, Link/Zelda.) Hopefuly they will make her AI better so she is a relyable addition to the team. Which means Falco’s flying AI had better be amazing.

This idea might make some people flip out…

Between missions, what if you could roam the Great Fox? Like, go to the Pilot’s Lounge, Fox’s Quarters, Hanger, Bridge, stuff like that. Lounge mabye has mini-games (possibly where you can pick up on sub plots??), Quarters allow you to save, Bridge is for briefings, Hangar is either for you to start a mission, or if you haven’t gone to the mission briefing, you can do a dogfight with any of the Star Fox members (beat them all you unlock a 3v1 fight. Win that and you get something special??), Medical Bay, possibly if you were shot down, you’d end up here, and have to retry the mission (that happens ONLY if you ran out of lives, works kinda like a credit system, earn credits by picking them up in missions. Each credit earns you 2 lives, you can also pick up extra lives without getting an extra credit).

wasnt star fox originally mercanaries? i liked it in N64 where you were sweeping through the lylat system pushing andross’s forces back. im not saying the return of andross, or an overly simplistic storyline, but lately starfox games have been giving me the vibe that the story is the only thing that matters.

They still are mercenaries, if they weren’t, they would all be wearing matching uniforms, and probably have flight helmets and suits when they flew.

I went back recently and played Star Fox for the SNES. I realized if you decide to let one of your teamates get shot down, they don’t “retire” they die. Ship explodes in front of your face. Mabye that’s what will happen in this game if you neglect your teamates. Mabye the first time they get shot down they either run/eject, but after that they blow up.

I think Krystal and other female characters should form a team, and a few other teams should be made up. More animals. The story mode should be multi-player/co-op so my friends can be Falco and Slippy, bring Peppy back, ROB’s got the Great Fox. OR the fourth player can be another optional character for the mission; like Dash, Bill, Wolf, Krystal, or anyone from another team that might be in the mission. Multi-player could be intense with lots of characters/animals.

Story should be optional but relatively same ending so future games won’t be frustrating. They should stop aging the characters too! Like we always see Mario, Samus, even Link about the same age and even classic villains are never gone. They should make a major enemy, like maybe a crazy Alien with a cool looking army. Then have the good guys realize they need major help so they somehow bring Andross back then leave it open by ending with the death of the Alien, and Andross out there the classic villain.

@ Tony

You just NAILED a perfect story-line. Exactly what would be interesting, an evil alien with a huge army and more enemies than you can shake a stick at. Instead of Corneria ressurecting Andross, the alien does. The alien is only the half-way game beat mark. HE ressurected Andross. Andross escapes and Star Fox attempts to pursue, but he escapes. Takes control of that huge army, and starts wiping out the Cornerian Army. Then Star Fox goes on a epic suicide mission. And in the final battle against Andross, Krystal starts to get sucked in by Andross, Fox uses his Arwing and bumps her out, and Fox’s craft gets eaten, and he detonates his ship. Everyone thinks Fox is dead, but he is lying in his Arwing Cockpit, he ejected moments before he got sucked in. (The character that is getting sucked in could be anyone, just Krystal sounded like a liable victim, possbly changes from Slippy to Krystal, Krystal only if you pulled some crazy shit to save her. Then you get a special ending yay!)

But yeah, I do want to see Corneria face off against a huge enemy fleet, with Star Fox in the thick of it.

Thought this one up, hope you enjoy:

The story starts with Fox telling his tale on how he ended up in an Ejection pod, and he starts from the begining, with them clearing out the last planet of aparoids with a small Cornerian fleet. Then the giant alien shows and starts attacking border world colonies. The Star Fox team is sent to save Bill and his squadrons. (This is where they would pick up my made up character Aaron.) Then they are ordered by Pepper to kill the enemy. (Also every other mission shows Fox in his ejection pod, looking around for the Great Fox, and showing his Oxygen levels, and he tells a little more about the story, then you begin flying that mission.) They fight along side some Cornerian fleets, sometimes they fight alone. Sometimes they will fight along side Cornerian ground troops, other times they fight alone. They reach the evil alien, he reveals his epic plan to revive Andross using a technology he created. You destroy the Alien but at the last second Andross is revived. Andross destroy’s the reviving technology, and all evidence of its existance. He takes over as the General of the enemy Army. Corneria is getting their ass’s kicked on every side. This is were Star Fox begins fighting solo all the time, as all Cornerian forces are having trouble holding the lines. Missions get progressivly harder as you get further and further behind enemy lines. Before you start the mission before Andross, depending on if you pulled the crazy shit to save Krystal or not, he tells about how much they’ve gotten into a stronger relationship, and how it is probably about to end in his ejection pod. If you didn’t he checks back out the glass for the Great Fox and his O2 levels, and begins telling that mission. Then the final mission against Andross begins. After all is said and done, at the end he finish’s recording his log, so if he is ever found, he can leave a message behind for everyone to hear. He checks his O2 level and it is within 1 hour of expiring. He leans back in his flight chair, he has been in his ejection pod for 7 hours. He turns off his homing signal, powers down his systems, all in hopes of using some of that power to generate some Oxygen to last him another hour. He then slips into a dream. A dream of what it would have been like to escape with his teamates, rather than sitting in an ejection pod. He wakes up with only a few minutes of air left. He takes one last look out the canopy, and see’s the Great Fox approaching him, and he is being circled by Arwings. (If you did the crazy stuff to save Krystal she stops beside his Arwing, waves and smiles.) He is saved. You get one of two endings depending on what you did. If you played Co-op you get one of two endings, all ending the same, but includes Aaron in the ending cutscenes.

Oh, and if you end up dieing on a mission (as in no more lives.) It reverts to Fox in his ejection pod he is telling the story, when his systems begin to fail, and he quickly saves his log, ejects the log into space, then to avoid a painful death, detonates his ejection pod. It shows the pod, then it blows up. After the explosion clears, it shows in large letters “The End”.

Wow, Yogan has some fantastic ideas.
If the new game is anything like Assault, I’m going to be very happy. Command was excellent, yes, but I think we’ll all be excited to see Fox back on a console again.
SPOILERS!
One of the last missions in Command made me flip out, the one where Fox’s father “returns from the dead”? I didn’t quite understand it, but it may be a prelude of things to come in the new game. Maybe James isn’t dead.
Which brings us to another point: from which ending from Star Fox Command will the new game pick up from?
Maybe Nintendo will just start fresh, becuase most of the endings in Command wouldn’t make very good sequels. Who wants Amanda on the team? Not me.
But yes, I admit, playing as Marcus would be very cool.
One final thing: Star Wolf had better be in the game.

Awesome concept for the story…
When the game opens, Team Star Fox is taking a well-deserved rest. The team is now made up of Fox, Krystal, Falco, and Marcus. Slippy went back to research and development. (Nobody wants him on the team anyway)Tensions between Fox and Marcus are already high, because of the events before the game. Fox insists that flying with Team Star Fox is too dangerous for Marcus, who naturally protests. Krystal agrees with Fox, but tries not to show it and acts as a mediator between the two of them.
The conflict is temporarily put on hold with the arrival of, naturally, enemies attacking Corneria.
Mission 1: Corneria: Under Siege
Wingmates: Falco, Krystal, and Marcus.
The first mission is a classic Star Fox linear-path shooter, whcich ends in a faceoff against Oikonny. (He’s always pretty pathetic, so he seems like a good choice for a first boss)
During the battle, Marcus is nearly killed, which only confirms Fox’s fears. There follows a heated argument between Marcus and Fox. In a fury, Marcus abandons Team Star Fox before the others have a chance to follow. Fox wants to tail Marcus, but ROB tells him that he can locate Marcus on radar more precisely than Fox could.
Naturally, Fox and Krystal are extremely worried about their son as the team returns to the Great Fox. Within the hour, ROB discovers that Marcus’ Arwing is downed on Titania. Didn’t take him very long to get into trouble, did it?
Quickly, the team heads to Titania. Fox sends a message to Slippy, requesting that he joins them in their hunt. Slippy soon arrives as they begin the descent onto Titania, and the second mission begins.
Mission 2: Titania: Desperation
Wingmates: Falco, Krystal, and Slippy.
Again, the mission is a set course through space, which turns into an all-range battle once the team gets through he atmosphere.
When the misison is over, Star Fox heads down to the surface. Marcus’ Arwing is not there. All that’s there is the tracking device, which looks like it has been torn from the Arwing. Desperate, the team prepares to leave when they are ambushed by…
Star Wolf, and guess who’s with them? Holy crap! Marcus?!
That’s all I’ve got, for now… any good?

Thats pretty cool.

I’ll make the next mission for this.

Starting Location: Titania.
Wingmates: Falco, Krystal, Slippy.

First off, a brief cutscene shows Marcus flying under Wolfs command, and Krystal tells Fox to not hurt Marcus. Making this mission tricky. Marcus will be trying to shoot you down, but you can’t shoot him down.

This mission starts as an all range mode. A classic dog-fight between Star Wolf and Star Fox. You will shoot the Star Wolf team down, excluding Marcus. A new cutscene will start, and it shows Marcus running away. Star Fox chases after him into orbit. This begins a rail shooter, you are fighting some unknown enemy (not Aparoids), About 3 minutes in Marcus throws out a distress signal, Fox and Krystal fly towards it solo, while Falco and Slippy keep this new enemy busy. Your still flying on rails, and when you find Marcus, his ship is missing both wings, and is highly damaged. Then the boss appears.
Boss: Venomian Mega Cruiser.
This boss was an unfinished design back during the Lylat War. Yet somehow it was completed… makes you wonder huh? Boss works like the Attack Carrier from the N64 alternate boss for Corneria.

Afterwards, the ship explodes, sending Fox, Marcus, and Krystal, flying back towards Titania. All are scattered around the planet, and they are found. However, you wake up from being knocked out still in your downed Arwing, you get out and look for a radio (or anything to communicate with,) so you can be rescued. Thus starting your first ground mission.

Epic mission? Or a fluke? You decide.

Pondering yesterday, I think that the Under Siege mission should use the Corneria theme from the original Star Fox, not the one from Star Fox 64.
Here’s the next part of the story.
Mission 4: Titania: Desert Attack
In the first ground mission, Fox starts off by his wrecked Arwing. The beginning of the mission is a trek across Titania’s dunes. Visibility is poor because of all the sand flying through the air. The only enemies that attack you are a kind of the “new enemies” that pop up from the sand. After a couple minutes of this, a short cutscene occurs.
Another huge cruiser fies overhead. It fires several pods down onto Titania’s surface. Fox briefly wonders what it could mean when Falco in his Arwing suddenly flies past, pursuing the cruiser. Falco circles the cruiser and gives Fox the thumbs up. But suddenly, the cruiser fires several rounds at Falco. He manages to dodge most of them, but the last one takes off an entire wing of his Arwing. The cruiser leaves, and Fox hurries over to Falco’s downed ship. He’s okay, but there’s a new pressing matter at hand.
The pods are beginning to open, and hordes of enemies come swarming out. Fox and Falco ready their blasters and prepare for combat.
The enemies are the “drones” of the game. They go down easy in one hit. Only problem is, there’s a lot of them. You just take them down with your blaster. About halfway through the battle, Falco will get swarmed by enemies and you’ll have to help him. When the battle is over, you discover that Falco’s personal communicator is relatively undamaged, so you can converse with your teammates again. ROB says that he and the others are taking the Great Fox to find them, but that they should keep moving in case more enemies show up.
You have to keep crossing the desert, and more enemies attack you on your way. Within minutes, a large building can be seen throught the sand. It looks like a hangar of some type, and upon closer inspection, Fox and Falco see that it’s a large hangar for the mega cruisers. At that time, the Great Fox and the other teammates in their Arwings arrive. ROB tells everyone that none of the cruisers can escape, because each of them are carrying several hundred enemies. Slippy and Marcus (in a spare Arwing) fly down to the surface. Falco leaps onto Slippy’s wing, and Fox prepares to ride Marcus’s Arwing. Marcus begins to apologize, but Fox tells him to save the explanations until the battle is over. Thus begins a wing-riding sequence like in Assault.
The Arwings circle the hangar and help you shoot down the cruisers. Once it’s all over, team Star Fox returns into space, glad that the team is whole once again. But it’s not over.

Wow. That mission sounds like it would be amazing. The Cruisers should be firing loads of missles, and should have a time limit of like 10 minutes. Since Fox didn’t plan on crashing into Titania, he should start with a blaster pistol. Falco however, gives him a Blaster Rifle, and Falco gets Fox’s pistol for the mission, making him dual wielding blaster pistols. The one thing you forgot was how Fox and Falco managed to get back to the Great Fox. My guess is the Great Fox flew in low and Marcus and Slippy landed.

Going to try to put my free roaming the Great Fox into action here.
Between Mission 4 and 5:
Fox is welcomed back by a hug from Krystal, and a warm greeting from Peppy. After that, you take control of Fox, and can talk to everyone. If you try to leave the hangar, Krystal will come up to Fox and ask him to talk to Marcus. Which is the only way out of the hangar.

A cutscene starts of Marcus saying sorry for trying to leave the team, Fox says its alright, and the next time they get airborne, Marcus can fly again. Peppy calls the team over to him, and says they are returning to Corneria for some resupplies, and some new Arwings, as they are down to only 2, which are the ones Slippy and Marcus flew. The Great Fox enters a jump gate and returns to Cornerian space. This gives you free roaming time. When all is said and done, you head on up to the Bridge. Pepper comes on the view screen on the Bridge and tells them of this enemy, which they have identified as a new Venom army. Which would explain the Mega Cruisers. (Feel free to change that to whatever you like shmagaman.) Pepper says he has a small fleet stationed at Macbeth, and would like you to back them up. The view screen turns off, and Peppy tells the team to gear up, and head to the Hangar. Before they climb into their respective Arwings, Krystal tells Fox to watch Marcus, and to keep him alive as well as himself, then Falco walks in and says “Hey stop worring! Not like we haven’t done this before.” They climb aboard their respective Arwings, and wait for them to arrive at Macbeth.

Mission 5: Macbeth: Takeover
Wingmates: Slippy, Krystal, Falco, Marcus
Soon, Star Fox arrives at Macbeth, not far above the surface. The leader of the fleet of dog soldiers explains the situation to Fox and the team: Several of the new enemies (I came up with the name Lylatmenace, and they’re remnants of the Aparoid empire. After Assault, they went recruiting around the Lylat System, so they’re sort of a mix of all sorts of enemies) have taken control of several of the cargo trains. (You remember the train, right? From Starfox 64?) Each of the trains is loaded with supplies and weapons for the Cornerian Armada, and if the Lylatmenace confiscate them, it’ll deal a severe blow to the army. The mission begins with a rail-shooter not far above the planet’s surface. Since you have four wingmates plus some of the dog soldiers, there’s considerably more enemies than normal. Of course, there’s a few of those instances where you have to get the enemies off your comrade’s tails to make things more exciting. After several minutes, the trains finally come into view on the tracks below. It’s tough, because you have to get all of the Lylatmenace off of the trains without destroying the trains. Plus, there’s a time limit, 10:00, before the Lylatmenace take total control of the trains. There are three trains in all, and you have to take them all on at the same time WHILE dodging the laser fire from the Lylatmenace. Pretty tough!
When the trains are rescued and halted, the team congratulates eachother on a job well done. But it’s not over! Another Mega Cruiser, the one planning on taking the Cornerian supplies, flies up to the team. They prepare for battle, but before any laser blast can fire…
A massive laser punches straight through the Mega Cruiser, splitting it in half. *insert awesome explosion clip*
An even larger ship, almost twice the size of the Great Fox, now appears, but it looks like nothing from the Cornerian Forces. Upon closer inspection, Fox and the others discover that it’s a Venomian ship. Pepper tells Star Fox to go after the ship. they can’t afford to lose it in space because it is valuable information upon what Venom is developing.
Now begins another rail shooter as you pursue the huge Venomian ship back through Macbeth’s atmosphere. You must doge the laser fire shooting from the mounted cannons and shoot down the enemies that come at you. Eventually, you catch up to the back of the cruiser. Pepper warns the team that the ship is about to go through a jump gate. Agains everyone else’s warnings, Fox goes as fast as possible towards the open hangar in the back of the ship, managing to make it mere seconds before the ship goes through the jump gate.
The other members of Team Star Fox look on in horror at where the ship once was, only imagining where Fo could possibly be.
Meanwhile, Fox is safe inside the hangar. He climbs out of his Arwing, preparing to explore the ship to get a better understanding. Thus begins the next on-foot mission.
Am I missing something? Does something need to be changed? You make the call, Yogan!

Mission=epic. I’m makin the next one!

Mission 6: Big Game Hunter

With Fox in the hangar, he looks out the force field of the hangar, and realizes he is in deep trouble. Only half his Arwing made it inside the carrier, the rest was cut off, making the Arwing useless. He pulls out his laser pistol, and begins looking for a way to destroy the ship, first stop, engineering.

Mission begins with the player wandering aimlessly in the deserted hanger. The door to the rest of the ship is nearby, but can only be opened from a remote console. Upon reaching this console, you realize that this capital ship is a Cobra-class Carrier, it has over 1,000 fighters and bombers stored, over 70 laser batteries, and 50 missle launchers, plus a new weapon, a Particle Cannon. Reading further on the partical cannon, it has the power to destroy an entire fleet, or can destroy a planet. The ship is to powerful to be left wandering, the door to the turbo shaft is unlocked, and you make your way down. The shaft then stops at the Brig, you walk in to find cornerian pilots, you walk up to one who explains how to destroy the Mega Carrier, by overloading the partical cannon. When he gets done, Venom soldiers walk down and spot Fox. They alert the ship to his presence, and you begin combat.

Once the guards are killed, you free the pilots, and they become your ’squad’, they will head to different areas of the carrier and disable important operating systems (engines, shields, etc.) you will run through emergency hatches, corridors, and large rooms to the partical cannon room. (The ship is HUGE, fortunatly, your 3D minimap shows where to go, but exploring has rewards, like bonus features.)

Cutscene starts and Fox catches in the corner of his eye, a Reflector Shield. It is a stronger barrier that will not only reflect laser fire, but absorb explosion damage, cuting damage recieved from explosions by half. Fox begins charging the cannon, and sets the cannons charge to 200% of normal, which if not fired immediatly after, will overload and explode. The cannon takes 7 minutes to charge, 4 of those minutes are you in the room defending against wave after wave of soldiers, with 3 minutes to spare, Fox realizes he forgot his escape plan…

The Cornerian pilot contacts him through his portable comm, they captured a shuttle, and if Fox makea it to the hanger within 2 minutes, he can escape. It’s a mad dash to the hanger, killing every enemy in your way. When Fox makes it to the shuttle, they launch, open up a jump gate and prepare to leave. Fox turns around to see his sabatage go into effect, the cannon overloads, and the whole ship explodes, the jump gate brings them back to Macbeth, where the team is waiting, ending this mission.

(Some bonus features that could be found in this mission, which can vary depending on difficulty; cheats, hints, video clips, alternate mission music, extra costumes)

NEW! Easter Eggs: 2 of the pilots names (if you look at their flight suits,) are yogan and shmagaman. :)

@Yogan
cool i like your ideas

yay i thought of a mission go me:)(you may change what you want)

mission 7: Vanish

after Fox returns from the ship everyone goes back to corneria and Fox says he has to go off on his own to do something so they agree everyone meets in the great fox but Fox never comes back so team Starfox go out in their Arwings to search for him when they fly out they are attacked by Venomian ships and marcus’s ship takes terriffic damage and his G-diffuser (i think it stands for gravity diffuser:) starts to fail so he calls for help, Krystal flies up to marcus so he jumps out and starts wing riding on Krystals Arwing and they fly up to the great fox to get marcus into a landmaster so they fly back into the fight and you play as Marcus or Krystal (depending on how you completed the last level)
After the fight you find Fox’s Arwing landed in a field and tracks nearby so you follow the tracks (on foot) and find Fox captured inside a building “IT’S A TRAP!” he shouts and they get ambushed so then you have to fight through them for a while untill you realise they wont stop coming so you have to run around the building alone (the others are defending Fox) to find a computer that holds Fox in his plasma chains but there is alot of traps you have to avoid and when you find the computer you have to fight a big boss guy (giant robot) he shoots lasers out at you and starts trying to destroy the building (if he manages to do that everyone dies and you get game over) so you have to shoot him and trying to fix the scenary at the same time (tricky!) but when he uses a special attack he moves in the middle of the room and gives you time to run round to his back and shoot a weak spot when you defeat the boss and save Fox the robots go hyper and increase their power (but lowering their health and defence) but none more are spawning so now you just have to finish them off after you kill the army you are free to roam around and do want you want (there are some secrets like new weapons and armour if you can find them) after you have done the team jumps in their Arwings and fly back to the GreatFox
*end of mission*

After reading your mission, I found a few holes. First, what factor in the last level would allow you to use Krystal or Marcus? Second, the G-diffuser just allows for more high G manevours (a G stands for gravity, everyone is at 1 G if they are not moving. I weigh about 150 pounds, if I pull a 2 G manevour I then weigh 300 pounds. If I pull a 7 G I weigh over 1,000 pounds. Blood leaves your head, and eventually knocks you unconcious, leaving you vulnerable to attack. The G-diffuser allows those G’s to be cancled, allowing for higher G turns, flips, and faster speeds, making the pilots limit unlimited since he can withstand all the G’s without punishment, the craft is the limit factor.) Which is why Falco in the 64 version didn’t abandon his fighter because the G-diffuser was malfunctioning. Third, you gave a good reason not to investigate the Arwing when they find it. If playing Marcus you have a great reason to skip the Arwing, as he is looking for his dad, after all. Krystal however, would check for a reason why he didn’t contact them. Other than that the mission would be fun, if I had to take a guess you play the FF games (as the boss you described is very well thought out in terms of what he can do.) Free roaming after the mission actually sounds enjoyable, like something thats unlocked after beating the game. I’d really enjoy goin back to find all the cool stuff.

i know im an idiot i just thought about that after i posted it lol (and i wanted a reason for marcus to jump out of his Arwing i like wing riding missions:) yes i do play FF (its cool) but it was a good try dont you think? ( im not very good at punctuation or spelling :) )
you can play as either krystal or marcus depending if you go to 1 of the 2 hangers to escape :) i think that would work

If that was your first attempt at creating a video game, it was good. I mod (well I’m kinda inactive from modding it) a game called Flight Commander, and my first misisons were really lousy, but after about a year I was able to create indepth missions, with good story telling.

The one thing all our missions lack, is a true enemy force, the Lylat Menace is one, the Venomians are the other. Which one is set to be the real enemy? Games that flop between are kinda lame (Halo 2’s singleplayer=crap). So, we need to decide on one enemy to use. The next mission would need to be plot critical, to many fillers get boring (which most of our missions have been). I like the sound of Venomians, a classic enemy (plus we’ve given them 2 capital ships to use.) Andross shouldn’t be the leader, as he is still dead. He is revived through a cloning process, he takes over halfway through the game (I was aiming for like the 20-25 mission area, game will not be over within 2 hours of constant play.) Then Andross starts doing his evil thing, blah, blah ,blah, etc, etc. Only in the final fight, you bring the WHOLE team in to defeat him once and for all. Someone may disagree, thats why its open for debate.

Yogan, Shmagaman, and Kinnara, you guys have an awsome story line for the game.

I have an idea for the ending scene at the end of the game ( I may be jumping way ahead of your story, but its just an idea)

First off, the main enemy of the game could be a gigantic shadow type alian that has been secretly in all the SF games looking at past failures of andross, aperoids, anglers, and everyone else that led Star Fox to victory. So he would have the strongest army ever.

(This mission is in all-range mode)

In the last scene, Star Fox, Star Wolf, and all of the cornerian forces join together in one big team this time. Fox is the only one to fight the big alian while eveyone else is fighting his full army. Fox is nearly about to die when all of the sudden his dad comes out of hiding and tells fox to pull back ( I dont think hes dead yet because he was in SF N64 and command). Everyone is suprised except Marcus because he doent know who he is. Foxes father tells him that he will give up his life for fox because he wants him to be there for Marcus at all times and not be like him. Fox tries to stop him but and wants to know were he was all this time and his dad says he was always wathcing him. After that, his father has some sort of wepon that can destroy the alien and then there is a big explosion and then fox starts crying.

let me know if thers any holes in this, also I probably misspelled some stuff.

awesome. What is even better is that i have finished inking the first page! :3 finally got Krystal’s face to look good. next page will start the attack. need to think of a design for an enemy. >.> Suggestions?

Yes. game longer than 2 hours is a must. It will allow for a great story to be told.

Attack it’s weak point for massive damage!!!

@Kinnara
That sounds like something Fox’s son would do; jump first, ask questions later. And I just noticed your boss has a weak point. My previous post was an unknown win. :3

BTW… I don’t think James McCloud died. I think its just like the idea Yogan or Shmagaman had earlier with fox rescuing Krystal, where he ejects before he gets too close, and peppy just assumed he got sucked into the black hole. I believe he is out there somewhere watching over fox, helping him when he faces certain doom.
