Red Steel Review by IGN

IGN reviewed the Nintendo Wii game Red Steel and has given it a 6.0/10.

“Red Steel doesn’t live up to the hype. It nails everything except gameplay control, which is absolutely and indisputably the most important factor…the game is not a train wreck, either…Ubisoft has, to its credit, presented some interesting gameplay mechanics complemented by a variety of unique and varied levels and weapons. The shooter is probably much deeper than you think in this regard and it deserves recognition for that accomplishment…Red Steel has a great deal more strengths than it does weaknesses, but its one weakness is a whopper. A few of you will be able to overlook that whopper, but the majority of us won’t.”

The reviews for the majority of Wii games aren’t really that good(which is the case for most launch titles). Even then though I thought Red Steel and some other games would get higher scores than they did. I don’t know guys it seems like all the major gaming editors and journalists are putting down the Wii now.
“A few of you will be able to overlook that whopper, but the majority of us won’t.”
He is refering to Wii fanboys and who is us? Us in meaning us who already play video games. I think Wii reviews should be reviewed differently than other video games.

theres a lot of wii FEAR among zealot and gon gamers im not saying red steel is great i think far cry looks and plays better…

BUT THERES SOME AMERICAN fear of japans little gaming company called nintendo i think theres deffinatly some BS reveiwing going on

AND PLEASE REMEMER THE DEV KITS WERE VERY LATE IN COMMING AND EVERY SINLE DEVELOPER HAD A LURNING CURVE WITH wiimote and nunchuck programing it willl all iron out into a smoooth gaming envirament in time THERE ONLY LOURNCH GAMES take that into account and clearly the game line up is very impressive

RED STEEL IS GOOD, THESE PEOPLE GIVING IT 5.5 AND 6.0 ARE DOOSHES.

it seems that the controls when i play it are flawless it seem that the guys at ign suck at aiming and should be shot because they are a bunch of suck noobs.

also i have found no falts in the game so far. Ive played the first two levels and they are so awsome you wouldn’t belive it.
I get head shots the first try!!!!!
also I love the health system, you can live forever. lol.
Controls really arn’t the problem if you read the instrution booklet or actually pay attion to what the game say’s!
You know this game is great when you can aim at a guy 60ft away from you and get a head shoot firsgt try without zooming! so f yourself ign your stupid!

the only way ill end up with red stell is if i get completly trashed at walmart(which is very possible)

Really Giving Ubisoft bad scores on red steel is silly. It feels great even though I only played a friends copy… I don’t have my own copy yet…
As a Pc FPS pro I’d like to say the Ign and others are too use to lock on controlls and other cop outs. Red steel will require skillz! Which is a good thing. Part two should be retarded in a good way though!
