Red Steel would will have local 4-player multiplayer and this is how it gonna be played:
You can expect to get your friends together and play one of three modes, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Mission mode. No need to go into either deathmatch modes, as they need no explanation.

When playing Red Steel Mission Mode, one of the player’s Wiimotes will ring…yes, the speaker will ring like a phone. You press the 1 button to answer it, and are given specific details on a mission you must complete. One of the objectives is to hunt down a mystery player who must be killed in order to win. You find this player by following the beeps coming from your Wiimote. The faster the beeps, the closer you are to the person. Of course, the mystery person is supposed to stay alive as long as possible to win.

Erm… no online? I cant even direct-connect? Split screen FPS kinda sucked 9 years ago, whats going on Nintendo?

Tom - not every one is obsessed with going online. What good is online only if you have friends round to play?? Nintendo have got it right not pushing ‘everything’ online. Great news on the Red Steel multiplayer - will be superb!

Tom………No online service until 2007….Nintendo said it….so we have to wait until further notice.

Hey you guys are forgetting this game can be patched. The os is upgradable. Even if they used a warp tunnel type of thing this would be cool. I think the network code was just sent to developers. We’ll have two wiis at our house any way so we will be ready. Also too I’m pretty much getting this game and look forward to part two next year and you know what it may have online in it then. There is also a rumor going around that this is the same reason metroid was delayed… Retro has alot of old quake junkies working for them so I wouldn’t be suprised.
