Some subscribers of Nintendo Power have received their issues early and in it has been revealed that previously announced Prince of Persia game for the Wii will indeed be a reworking or Wiimake of the Prince of Persia The Two Thrones. The game Two Thrones was released on the GameCube, PS2 and Xbox last year.

Lame. Seriously. WTF? Ubisoft should just stop making Wii games. Or at the very least actually put some effort in to them. Their controls for Red Steel were crap and Far Cry is not even close to a finished product. If they would have combined the controls from FC (minus the gimmicky jump control) with the visual presentation and story from Red Steel they could have had a winner. They said you would have an original POP title out and then they give us a rehash of TT. So basically all they are going to do is adapt a crappy gimmick control setting for the sword, and jerk the controller up to jump and that’s it. How is it that they made the Wii version of FC worse looking than the ps2 version? I am so disappointed .

Fucking typical. Give us new damned content on the Wii not ports of last gen stuff for christ sake. And they’ll all wonder why Wii fails and blame Nintendo when all they need to do is make us decent, new game.

Face Ubi is going to make money off of this. Said money should go to a real programmer or team to develop graphics and controll systems for the wii.

I’m with Wiiboy on this one what is the real story Ubi? Hold up one sec though if they are trying to make nintendo’s system look bad then thats going to be up to nintendo. Why do I say that well if metroid sucks which it probably won’t then ubisoft is the only one looking like a lame duck.

Also too some thing is going on with the wii. Every one and even ubi believes its not worthy of great graphics or capable. It’s the same thing that happened to the GC. All of these fan boys screaming graphics don’t matter have seen the dark side of it now…LOL. Did Ubisoft make this game for Wii fan boys that say graphics don’t matter? Are they testing the water?

After reading the game cube review of zelda TP and looking at screen shoots you’ll see that this zelda on the wii was using the finest GC graphics engine avaiable. Also too before you jump the gun look at zelda TP. Even nintendo took forever to figure out they could make a game like this it seemed. Ease of development is great but that doesn’t garentee optimization. Even mario’s creator feels they still have along way to go when it comes to tapping the power of the GC. Yes the GC and now we have the Wii. Maybe nintendo is hinting at evolving code rather than throw raw power at programers. The Whole Wii experience on a developers side seems to be an MIT master class in interactive design. I’m betting far cry was a quata game that they promised to make for nintendo and they too are stalling till they get a handle on making a graphics engine for the wii. Epic is still the best engine maker in the next gen race and they are yet to make a pretty wii engine, even saying it isn’t possible. It’s time for nintendo or some one to step up and show them it is possible.

This is where the Ps3 shortage and sales come into play. Companies like Capcom, Konami and Enix squre have the resources to develop graphic engines to totally crush epic’s xbox flag ship. If these companies begin Wii development and see that the graphic whore is indeed among the Wii faithful then they will jump at the chance to make money on the Wii.

Don’t get to mad at Ubi guys they’ve never been a graphic power house and if they keep this up never will be one because your worse is remembered. There seems to be an organization problem there though. The teams don’t seem to be working together.

Another thing too not buying redsteel does not stop the idiots that will buy far cry…LOL If far cry does better then expect more shovel ware from them. Instead rent red steel see if you like it and buy it if you do. Stay away from far cry though. Really the only people hurt buy this version of far cry is crytek. Ubi soft is killing there franchise… Is there bad blood, there I bet there’s buckets of it hinden away…LOL

Now I’ll bet money that POP remake looks way better. Yet no one will want to buy it becuase they have already played it. It’s obvious they will be using the GC engine so can we really expect any thing worth looking forward to? Will it be a FPS POP…LOL

I feel ya Wiiboy . and elebits sorry about the spelling earlier..LOL is how you get a game out and start development on your Wii engine. It’s clear nintendo hasn’t even released a Wii engine enabled game yet… Pokemon may be the first one. Engines take time no matter how easy it is to develop. I would rather ubisoft make good looking 2d 3d games if they feel the need to shovel 3d games on us from the past.

Every one is hating Ubisoft right now but if they realy are getting ported code from epics old engines and other companies then you can’t really expect them to make any thing good. You won’t find me even thinking about buying any thing other than Raven and red though cuz all of ubi’s other games are classic PS2. Yeah we hate it but games like this will be 20 to ten dollar in like two months due to their quality.

like I said before the GC and the Wii are both powerful yet if your are the type of programer that is a drag and drop programmer instead of true developer then you could make the Wii look really sick. This is Ubi soft pulling a EA and not wanting to pay people good enough to make games that would obviously make ubi look better as a company. Or is this a case of all of their real talent being put on the PS3 and xbox teams? Ok we’ll see how that works out…LOL.

Really though I’m curious to whats new in there. Some one should also do a peace of game engines avaiable for the Wii as specs won’t matter as much as current capablities will. I know things will get better as beatiful games like elebits start to appear, yeah I said elebits… Try the edit mode out completely mind blowing graphics, physics, the whole nine.

Hey but don’t be mad at them cuz it only make ubi soft look bad. Maybe they are trying to pull a Ps2 and beat the Ps3 and xbox 360 at there own game which is flooding the system with software so the alme ass “hardcore wanna be” believes there are more games…LOL.

Unfortunatly people will buy this game and the POP remake. but after this wave of ports what are they going to do? Ports can’t happen forever and as the developing power houses ramp up so will the overall game quality. By the end up 07 if ubi is still doing them expect them to be forgotten.

I had hopes for the Wii. I even got my Sony friends hyped for it, but the game developers have dropped the ball. The Wii looks very weak now. They are just churning out the same kiddy crap as usual. I am switching over to the darksid and getting a Xbox 360. I’ll buy Zelda for my Gamecube…………… In a couple of years the Wii will go down to 100$ like the Cube did. I’lll pick one up then when maybe there are a couple of decent games….

Go and buy your xbox360 man. Thats 400 dollar you’ll regret unless you are still amazed by normal mapped graphics and rock paper melee attacks, and shot gun multiplayer games…LOL. I’ve been following console graphics for a while and zelda is nintendos resident evil 4. Things are about to get interesting soon. nintendo has clearly turned on the graphic wiz they had sitting in a ware house the last 8 years. The new mario and SSB along with any thing else they release is going to look next gen for real. With Square enix putting out a real dragon quest on the DS and support for the wii on the way things are going to get really cool.

Also too the Wii looks better than the PS3 game portfolio wise and even with gears of war the xbox360 is still looking boring. Yes it’s selling like hot cakes because every one with an xbox was starving for some thing to play and show case that box. It took them a whole year extra to get that game out. This is like the Wii’s first few months…LOL

Ubi soft is sure to make things right after hearing the out crys from fans. Mean while 07 is going to be sick. Even with Ubisoft games this is a pretty strong launch, with most of the games being fun. We still have not seen what Capcom is doing, Sega next wave, Square enix’s next wave, Konami’s next wave, and the list goes on. Ubisoft won’t stop nintendo as long as other developers keep things moving. The one people dropping balls seem to be Ubi soft.

kyle I’ll assume your trying to include me in your last statment. I’m far from stupid man. Far cry was about graphics period… The bad port of it proves this. Bad decision on ubi soft’s part not to polish it. It’s simply unexcusible when ray man raven rabbits clearly has all of the effects that game should of had. If gears of war was ported to the Wii like that you would also hate that game too…LOL

When have I ever said I would get stuff just becuse it is pretty…LOL I still play golden eye and quake 3 because of the game play they offer and level design. We are talking about pushing the wii’s graphic engine instead of using old ass GC engines. I’m looking forward to seeing what the graphic guys can do with this puppy. On paper there is no reason it can do some of the next gen effects because some GC game where actualy doing them then.

Sega made a New sonic, and monkey ballz, we got a new dragon ballz, etc etc, they all look great too. Even call of duty isn’t bad.

If you are Wii faithful and don’t want any thing more than GC engines running on your Wii then exit this discusion now.
The Wii is about game play but creators of graphics are about making things look good, even Wii sports doesn’t look like crap, Even zelda doesn’t look like crap, far cry yeap thats crap, a port of POP on Wii with a GC engine will be crap also yet more like the disappointing kind. ubi has great artists why not give then the tools to make your company look good?

Oh yeah VIA PINYATA is crap also graphics wise, yes it has all of the great effects but the design and idea behind it is crap I havn’t played it so I won’t comment on game play.

I still stand by the Wii pulling off some great games and trumping the GC graphic easlily. Right now every one is simply trying to get to grips with the controller programming. the graphic engines will be the next phase. The problem with the other systems is the reliance of realism instead of fantasy and game play.
