The title of the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean game, At World’s End, is a bit of a misnomer. While it holds the third movie’s moniker, the game will actually cover not only the third film’s storyline but Dead Man’s Chest’s as well. This could either result in a lengthy pirate adventure or a rushed effort to cram in every major plot point.
Like we mentioned in our last preview, the game visits many of the film’s locations and, not surprisingly, animated cut-scenes reenact pivotal moments in the movies. Unfortunately, the main trio isn’t voiced by the original actors (though some of the supporting cast is), but the sound-alikes are convincing. And while the Wii version of the game doesn’t sport the same 1080p support and graphics that the 360 version does, it allows players to go back to any finished level and replay it with another character from the game (minus the cut-scenes).
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End for Wii seems to be easy to pick up and play so it may be enjoyed by some of the fans of the Pirates saga when it comes out a few days before the movie.
