Nintendo Europe have confirmed on their Wii microsite that the Wii won’t have specific friend codes for gamers to connect titles online.

The fact the DS has seperate codes for each game has arguably been seen unfavourably among Nintendo fans, compared to having one user code which stays constant whatever game you’re playing.

Thats great news! That should help Nintendo’s online plans and show the differences between the DS and Wii online play. Nintendo said the Wii’s plan would be very similar to the DS and they took some heat for that. This should cool them off a bit.

I hope he is right too. Im getting annoyed with this whole friend code thing myself. None of my real life friends got ahold of the wii. So now, I search online for some. Its getting sad, at my age especially- this whole code thing seems to nerdy-
