Nintendo Wii is the Final name for the called Nintendo Revolution, but it stills is the same great console.

Introducing… Wii.

While the code-name “Revolution” expressed our direction, Wii represents the answer.

Wii will put people more in touch with their games… and each other. But you’re probably asking: What does the name mean?
Wii sounds like “we,” which emphasizes this console is for everyone.
Wii can easily be remembered by people around the world, no matter what language they speak. No confusion. No need to abbreviate. Just Wii.
Wii has a distinctive “ii” spelling that symbolizes both the unique controllers and the image of people gathering to play.
And Wii, as a name and a console, brings something revolutionary to the world of video games that sets it apart from the crowd.
So that’s Wii. But now Nintendo needs you.
Because, it’s really not about you or me.
It’s about Wii.

Nintendo Wii Launch Games Lineup

According to the American official Nintendo magazine ‘Nintendo power’, when the Wii releases later this year it will launch with the following six titles:

  • Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Wii Version
  • Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
  • Red Steel
  • Wii Dragon Quest
  • Super Monkey Ball
  • Rayman Raving Rabbids

no mario thats because it lauch date is set to early december or late december i heard because there stiill trying to inprove the graphics and the game as well(i mean as in game play)but when mario does finish ill be there to buy it

I am a little bummed that metroid prime 3 is up there because it should have multiplayer. like they did for hunters, i would be more happy if they delayed it so it could go wi-fi. But nintendo was also talking about downloading stuff from wii connect 24, so there still might be a chance.

there are not many games there. Didnt that Reggie guy (president of nintendo america) say that there would be nearly 20 games at launch - something about not making the same mistakes that they made with the gamecube?
