Why not put in some more Fire Emblem characters? I agree that Shadow would be awsome, but they should also use Silver. If they do put in more Pokemon they should use Blaziken and a fighting type other than Blaziken. And why not use Zero and the four guardians from Megaman Zero and also use Bass, X and Sigma. If they do use a KH/FF character they should use Auron or Vincent Valentine.

I was thinking, every character should have two or more unlockable moves. Like Mario could have the hammer, and the little jump spin that breaks blocks in the old games. And unlockable endings for each character. Like Mario saving Peach, fighting bowser, or getting a present from Toads or something.
And maybe you can add the blue shell to hit whoever has the most points, a paper sheet to turn into paper characters like Paper Mario, The Ocarina Of Time so you don’t have to add Young Link but make younger forms of characters, put Baby Brothers (mario and luigi) as a duo character like ice climbers, add non-clone characters like mor pokemon, and stuff like that. I know I’m only 13, but I’ve been designing a game called Super Smash Showdown for about 5 years, I’m not going to develope it, but I think we should team up. I’m worthy, I’ve been creating, designing, and creating games for 7 years. I started off with RPG Maker for the Playstation 1. I’m a bit surprised of how some people think about the next character and new attacks. They mostly only take Nintendo characters or from other companies which they work together with. Even though I was surprised that Snake from Metal Gear Solid would be in it, I think people shouldn’t go crazy about the many characters.

The old characters from Melee should sure be in it. The Naruto characters, don’t have ANYTHING to do with Nintendo. Everyone here, it’s still Nintendo’s all-stars alright!

Maybe some sonic characters could be in it, but not more than two. Sonic, and Knuckles will then be his clone.

But remember, it’s still Nintendo.

I just hope that all of you people realize that the people at nintendo are going to try to put the least number of characters possible that they didn’t create. They even put in that cupid thing. There are not going to be more than five pokemon in any ssb game, and it’s very possible that they put sonic in it (seeing as how they own him, basically), but i doubt that they will put more than two sonic characters in. I like DBZ, but they have their own fighting game so no DBZ, Naruto character(s) are doubtful, but don’t give up quite yet. Although it would be cool to have megaman in it, he probably stands a 2% chance of making it in. The only thing that confuses me is, why the heck they put Solid Snake in there.

man, i hope this works. i have a few opinions that i have to make clear. one-sonic in the game sounds awesome, megaman as well. no DBZ, though. the series is good, but it would suck in a SSB game. two- IF IT APPEARS ON ANY OTHER CONSOLE, THEN THERES A GOOD CHANCE IT WON’T MAKE IT TO SSBB. now a few others id like to see are definitely Lucario, and maybe Blaziken,(Personally, im opposed to any starters in the game. unless they start out in a Poke ball.) thats all for now. now i havent ever used these types of things, so i hope this works. and for grammar, dont correct me, this computer sucks.

You know what, one more thing. this is a bit off subject, but… the new Wii sonic game sucks. its too childish. doesnt affect my opinion of him in SSBB, though. here’s hoping.

formerly gamephan for 15yrs. look, i have a contradictory statement to say. has anyone heard of the show InuYasha? of course you havent. google him. anyway, i would absolutely LOVE to see him on SSBB. next to him, Link doesn’t hold a candle(like in Legend of ZeldaII: The adventure of Link for the NES.). now if InuYasha were in the game, I’d get a loan with fees and hassles just to buy it straight out of the store on the first day out in a blazing blizzard in the middle of the apocolypse. actually, it seems the apocolypse is more likely to happen before Nintendo figures out the legitimacy of my statement. wait, does anyone own inuyasha anymore? that show is close to cancelling… it only comes on at midnight on adult swim. anyway, lots of ideas for the game. here are a few examples:
1 instead of just changing character colors, how bout game series? for example- from link OOT to link WW to link TP. oh, and young link.
2 how bout making the starfox ship to scale this time? on SSBM, it looked like fox couldn’t even fit in the cockpit, much less the arwings that he flies.
3 how about getting a few practically extinct characters like pit? cough, cough, InuYasha, cough.
4 have a few minigames where the character you choose has to go through his/her own adventure. example: link goes through Hyrule stages and ultimately defeats Ganondorf(again).
5 Leave Mystical Ninja out of the lineup. period. Just saying.
6 get a few more N64 characters, like Banjo and Kazooie, respectively. maybe even that chick from Perfect Dark.
7 Bring back all of the SSB series’ levels. example: classic Hyrule castle, sector Z.
8 Bring back the character entrances. example: Fox hops out of arwing, Link flies down from light and draws the Master Sword.
9 3-D character view, like in SSB for 64.
10 Get the Prince of Persia in there for goodness sakes!
11 Get a few levels that have nothing to do with the characters. example: a well-built stage with turning gears that you have to balance on.
12 add a little music with words, like in sonic adventure 2: Battle.
I have tons more ideas, but I’ll cut it off there. and remember, think InuYasha thoughts(since you’ve already got Link in there). GO LINK!

ok people,,i have alot to say. firstoff, there not ever going to put characters that were on tv first,, i admit naruto is awesome, dbz had its days,and inyuyasha or whtever is cool to but they are but they are from tv. 2nd,, they are only going to put videogame characters that have had games on nintendo consules,,any of those characters have a chance,,but there are a lot of them. at first i thought snake was dumb but turns out there was a metal gear solid game for nintendo,, also the prince of persia could totally be in it especially with the new game out for it. 3rd,,,sonic is awesome even if they have new games that aren’t that good to the majority of us but knuckles should not be a copy character if the put 2 in they should have tails cuz of his different variety of moves,,tails’ tails are awesome,,,,,
now im going to say who i think should be in the next smash bros, because the are compatible character
1. “Brian” from the Quest games who does want and original awesome spirit monk
2. “megaman” don’t know to much about him but if they gave him his laser sword for some of the moves he wouldn’t be a samus copy cat.
3. “midna” with and/or with out the wolf,, if figure they could make her get on link wolf using down B and her moves would change accordingly.
4. “the prince of persia”(dont know his name), his alternate dark self would be cool for all of his moves and sets. plus he had an old prince of persia game for nintendo too.
5. “Goeman” from mystical ninja would be awesome with his pipeweapon and he could throw coins,, he would be a good addition to the team
6. “sora” sora was on a gameboy advance game of kingdom heart if you remember so he totally has a chance of joining the crew, and every body knows he rocks
7. “sonic”,,,nuf said

Well first off, I really hope that some of the suggestions that some of you are making are just jokes (Scooby Doo, are you serious?). Secondly, as previously stated, many of the characters some of you have suggested have nothing to do with nintendo at all. I love the super smash bros. games because of the nostaglia factor. It’s great being able to play characters that really made their mark in nintendo from back when i was young, mind you I’m only 20 but still. I would be so disappointed if they threw in guys from dbz or naruto just to make a quick buck. These shows have nothing to do with nintendo whatsoever. Ok, maybe nintendo has made some crappy game featuring these characters but they still do not deserve a spot in this game. I may be a hater but come on, naruto? (what kind of ninja wears an orange jump suit anyway???) My only suggestion to nintendo is to just keep it classy.

Link and Zelda are awesome! They’re WAY better than mario and sonic and whutever lame ass characters that arn’t in the zelda games (p.s Zelda Rocks!!!)

if there’s one way to ensure that you will never get along with people in life it’s to be into all that anime junk. Japanese people are laughing their heads off at you suckers.
But Ganondorf should use his sword, there should be Dark Link in there somewhere, even if it’s just a costume for Link, and Lizalfos or some other enemy should be playable.
And by the way, I have nothing against Sonic, but only he OR Shadow should be in the game. I’ve never been a fan of clone characters. or duo characters like Ice Climbers. It would be kinda retarded to have babies Mario and Luigi as a duo character.
Also, there shouldn’t be many pokemon in it. That series has been dead since versions silver+gold.

Ok. Sonic is definately in. I’m hoping they put people like King Dedede, Lucario, Midna w/ Wolf Link, and others like them in. They can’t put people from animes in because they have tons of games based off that already. Come on, Timmy Turner and Naruto? I’m a Naruto fan and all, but he doesn’t belong in Brawl. Now Cloud or Sora would make it fun, and Shadow, I’m sorry to all you Shadow fans out there, but he’s nowhere near as good as Sonic. He used guns and vehicles, which made the gameplay slow, and he hasn’t been around long enough. Tails is the most likely to appear, but just like as an Assist Trophy or something. Eggman could be a boss in the story mode. Mega Man would be cool as well. But as long as Sonic is in it, I’m fine, even though i have to wait until February 10th to get it, seeing as they pushed the release date back from December 3.

There’s no way there will ever be anything anime in Smash Bros. EVER! An xbox only game like Halo will never show up. And unless Square-Enix begs like the makers of Metal Gear Solid did to get some characters on the game, then there is no way there will be even a mention of any FF characters. So lets be reasonable here folks…
PS. this is a rumor, that has a small chance of validity, But i heard that “Nights” from Sega Saturn was gonna make an appereance… And to all those who hate on Sonic, Smash bros. is endorsing the Sonic Adventure series, which is the best sonic games I’ve ever played. Try those games and see if you can still hate on my man Sonic!

There will be a definite mention to Duck Hunt, Tetris, and Ballon Fight. POSSIBLY Contra, Battle toads, Double Dragon and Bonk’s Adventure for 3rd party mentions…

the game is good.but like some people said they need to give the characters better smashs.the dbz and naruto characters shouldnt be in it that wouldnt be a good game.if they put sora riku from kingdom hearts and just the main characters from a couple of final fantasy like cloud (pt7) squall (pt8) tidus (pt10) and maybe waka and aaron (pt10) and maybe just sonic and shadow but no body else.this is just my opinion.

Smash bros Brawl is cool, but I am kinda dissapointed…they could have done so much more with the pokeballs and assist trophies…Luigi has not changed at all, and mario’s flood is pretty much useless.

Dude, Pokeballs I can agree with, the chances are all screwed up, and assist trophies, I think are fine. But Marios flood is beyond awesome. It’s the best at edgeguarding and awesome and defence when enimies are about to attack, just learn how to use things to your advantage.

Just wanna say I am glad they didn’t put any DBZ characters….that would of killed it big time think. It would of been awesome if they had some more characters from Sonic, but I think there just trying it out with Sonic to see how it goes(which I think it was a great idea….he is my main fighter). I am also glad they didn’t put any Naruto characters in it as well…..Sheik is Ninja enough already.
