Lucas Arts Talks About Star Wars Game For Wii

In the technical demonstration for a new, unnamed Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 Star Wars title, LucasArts confirmed the company’s intense interest in creating a Wii lightsaber game, if not yet its explicity existence.

Lucas Arts emplemployees where inquired as to whether the company planned on creating a lightsaber game for the Wii, and they commented: “We know” and “We are looking into it”, as possible concepts for the game were discussed. However, the firm has not yet made any official announcements regarding planned Wii titles.

Nintendo and lucas arts never really have been involed with with each other, but mabe with the Will Lucas arts will make star wars games for the Wii since the Wii is most likely do really well in selling.

For N64 they were: Rogue Squad and Shadows were both big titles. Those were more Nintendo devoted than any games on a Playstation or Xbox, which were really PC based games. There was no point to develop a GameCube game because it was such a flop.

What I really wanna see on Wii is a Star Wars game featuring a bullet time mode like in Enter the Matrix or the new Tony Hawk, where you can deflect blaster bolts with a lightsaber. I think thats the coolest potential feature a Star Wars Wii Game could have.

N64: Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, Battle for Naboo, Episode I Racer, Rogue Squadron, Shadows of the Empire. GBA: LEGO Star Wars II. A number of SNES games (Ep 4-6). A number of NES games.

With the incorporation of the new Wii controller technology, I believe Lucas Arts understands the expectations placed on them by consumers. A new star wars game will have to incorporate the lightsaber element (similar to Red Steel), or the game will not be as successful to its potential. I believe we can expect multiple titles to come out of Lucas Arts and the Star Wars genre

i think it would be great if lucas arts made a star wars game for nintendo wii, this is because all of the star wars fans that always wanted to have a real time saber combat, with nintendo wii it is possible and it would be a gran hit and not to mention the money would come in bundles

uhhm i would really be hoping for a battlefront 3 for the Wii becuase i love those games and yaa i own at them ..

they should deff have a 2 player mode beacause it would be great batteling with your friends. it wouldnt be as much fun if you always played against comp players or maybe even an online mode to play with other players all over the world. that wood be great.

there needs to be a Battlefront 3 on the wii, the wii is almost made for it, with the sensotr to control spaceships and sabers, and the ‘’usual'’ fps control that would also work in 3rd person.

wierd my mate and i were just discussing how kickass a star wars game would be on the Wii and i find this. excellent, not only for lightsaber fights but for force powers , which i never really used on the jedi knight games due to the fiddly-ness imagine just waving the wii-mote and throwing stormtroopers into a wall or over a chasm….I need a tissue!. all i know is my gf looked very resigned when i told her about the star wars game. can’t wait!
