the xbox had clunky slow ram a standard celeron cpu no advaced gpu catches and 4 texture stages and 4 texture layers

You know it funny but all the halo fans believed that the bump maps where actualy extra polygons…LOL Thats how the xbox won that war… Every thing had bump map turned to the max…LOL The same thing is happening with normal maps. Yet the next step in graphics is not whats currently out (which is old tech). The next step is going to push those polygon count way up there! If the G80 is any idea of where graphics are about to go.

Also too cube boy be sure to let people know Zelda isn’t using all of the Wii’s power cuz it’s still a gamecube game.
Redsteel is using an out of date unreal engine (2.5 i believe) with wii gpu shader support sort of supported. I think we will get a resident evil type of suprise from the next batch of hardcore games coming out in 2007. I mean dang if Heros by grasshopper Manufature pulls off graphics like in the video then the graphics war maybe over. Style give raw specs life… Raw specs with out good art direct and creativity is useless…
I hope retro really pulls of a rediculous graphical upgrade with their engine. That way it will show that it’s not the Wii thats not powerful. It’s just the developers being cheap of lazy. Also too since Kid icurus is in smash brother why not give him a FPS type of flying game? What better way to show off the next gen graphics than volumetric cloud with floating greek temples bath in sun light with some nice 3d platform / air born game play?

In fact, how do we even know they are game play graphics. Well I do know they aren’t. And we all know Wii cant handle half what is being shown. Although they dont look good enough for Ps3 and 360.

in fact look at soul calibur 2, a cross platform fighter… it blew on the PS2!!! but the Cube and the XBOX were amazing (from a retailers perspective… i sold more cubes and XBOX’s to sony people) masenkasabo; you are probably right, they are not gameplay graphics… but i dont want a game that i can beat in 30 hours that loosk amazing, i want to spend over 100 hours trying to beat it, even if it looks as bad as RedSteel( that game is Horrible)

those images look like they are from ps3 or xbox 360 shots! visually i would say the wii can only just compete with the playsation 2 and is no where near as powerfully as the mighty ps3! have you seen metal gear solid 4?
