A Joystiq Informant explains that his outlet received a detailed release schedule from Activision, one that listed Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam with an October release, followed by Marvel: Ultimate Alliance and Call of Duty 3 in November.
Both documents were forwarded to Joystiq and they were able to ascertain that the last person to modify the second document is part of Activision‘s international media relations team.
Activision already know the launch date?” Considering that they’re working on a highly publicized Wii launch title, we’re going to go with “yes.”

maybe theyre just guessing since people says it might come out in October since its soonist
Well, Josh, if they are supposed to be making a lauch title for Nintendo, you think they should just guess at that deadline too?
I believe that Activision probably recieved some form of a deadline for October from Nintendo, that doesn’t necessarily mean that Nintendo intends to release the Wii in October. Activision does however, want to open their games to reserves, which in turn means they have to give a release date for their games. They probably just took the deadline Nintendo gave them and used that as their release date because the game will be ready at that time, but as we all know, many games get pushed back for later released information.
october for the wii …. great. although tony hawks isnt on my wish list. Can anyone remember an Activision game they really liked. For me they are all glitchy, unfinnished works. Sorry guys!!
