Call of Duty 3 producer Sam Nouriani has confirmed that while the Wii version of the game won’t be as graphically exciting as its PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 counterparts, it will use the controller’s unique features.
“Typically the reticule in CoD games is centred on the screen. With the Nintendo Wii game, because of its accelerometers and a position-pointing device in the actual remote, we’ve freed the player up,” he says in a recent magazine article, scanned and doing the rounds on the net.

Ubisoft certainly seem to have fallen head over heels with Nintendo’s next generation console. On a release list sent to retailers in America recently, five new games appeared on the list from them for Wii.
- Prince of Persia
- Blazing Angels (previously released on Xbox and Xbox 360)
- GT (racing game from the Asphalt: Urban GT series)
- Monster Trucks (brand new racing game)
- Far Cry

The last publication of EGM entrusts to us two rumours in connection with our liked well Wii. If rumours well are said, it is known however that EGM is a highly reliable source which is seldom mistaken.
On the one hand, it seems that following E3, much of third editors are transforming their projects for the PS3 into projects for Wii. (And thus in future Wii plays.) It is obviously thanks or because of the high price of the PS3 and to the very good reception reserved for Wii at the time of the demonstration.
Second rumour, LucasArts entrust that they wish to answer waitings of the many fans of Wii. A play Star Wars would be exclusive in Wii and would include engagements with the sabre laser thanks to Wiimote and its vibration modes and sound!
Imagine already the sound of the sabre when you split the air, the vibrations when you entrechoquez it with another sabre!
May the Wii Be with you!

Raid Over the River (working title) is the first of two titles from Nibris, the second planned for release at a later date on the Wii. Nibris promises to change the face of the vertical shooter, which has traditionally been a genre which is all about the speed of a player’s fingers. Raid Over the River will mix a blend of classic gameplay with innovative original ideas and an extensive story.
The game is scheduled for release in the first half of 2007.

According to the official Japanese Namco website, on June 20th an announcement will be made about an upcoming ‘Tales of’ title.
The last time the series appeared was ‘Tales of Phantasia’ on the Gameboy Advance and currently, ‘Tales of the Tempest’ is in the works for the DS. It seems that the next title would be for the Wii especially since it was confirmed that Namco was working on an RPG for the platform.

Sony announced that its forthcoming PlayStation 3 console would debut worldwide on November 17 of this year, Nintendo was much vaguer about its new generation Wii console, choosing only to say that it would be less expensive than competitors and would arrive around the globe sometime in the “fourth quarter.”
Despite what the Nintendo has said publicly, publishers and developers have prepping many of their Wii titles for an October release. , this week industry sources have relayed that - in something of a surprise attack — “Nintendo is planning to launch Wii before PlayStation 3.” The latest word jives with publisher release calendars, whose Wii titles are scheduled in many cases for a mid-to-late October debut or, in some cases, very early November.
A two-to-three week headstart on PS3 could give the significantly cheaper Wii an even greater advantage.
