Nintendo has announced that it has formed a development partnership with Korean studio Nexon for a forthcoming but as yet unspecified Wii title.
According to Nintendo’s Satoru Iwata in a recent statement made to the Korean press “We plan to actively support Korean game software developers who have great expertise in developing online games and support their advances into foreign markets…”
Iwata-san also went on to talk about the impending Korean Wii and DS Lite launches, but the big news, at least as far as we’re concerned, is the mention of online expertise and that bit about ‘advances into foreign markets’. And let’s not overlook the fact that Nexon is the outfit responsible for the online racer Crazyracing Kartrider (no, us neither) and the 2D cutesy-pie but insanely popular MMORPG Maple Story – a game that’s been sapping the spare time and bank accounts of our Far Eastern gaming cousins since 2002.

From an interview from Dorimaga, Keiji Inafune is working on an unknown Wii project. Someone on NeoGAF speculates that it could be a Mega Man Wii game.

A new adult wii game is comming to the Nintendo Wii : Leisure Suit Larry: Upstanding Citizen

Los Angeles , CA - Sierra will release what they think will be the most innovative use of the new “Wiimote” used on the immensely popular Wii from Nintendo. They plan to release a new episode of the cult favorite “Leisure Suit Larry” that will use the Wii controller’s unique features to create a compelling new use of the device.
Leisure Suit LarryLarry has been featured in multiple episodes of the game as a forty-something, balding man trying to seduce young and attractive women. While the popularity of the franchise has varied over the years the graphics have always improved. The game definitely earns its “M” rating.
In the new release, “Leisure Suit Larry: Upstanding Citizen,” the Wiimote will be placed into a strap-on harness for a whole new angle on the game. Now you won’t only have to get the women to agree to a little bump-and-tickle, you will also have to please them enough that they don’t lose interest.
With the Wiimote strapped firmly on your hips, you must thrust and gyrate in a “pleasing” manner. For the sexually inept, your conquest just may fail and she will fall asleep, turn the TV on or just get up and leave. Those that you satisfy will earn you libido points and help you as you go along. But enough bad reviews and the girls will be laughing and pointing at you as you walk by.
Beta testers for the new release have had nothing but positive reviews so far. “Other than my mom wondering why the sofa cushions are such a mess, there is no downside to this game,” said one enthusiastic player.
Another said, “No wonder I can’t keep a girlfriend. I had no idea that was how it was supposed to work.”
One thing is certain; this is just the beginning to new creative uses for the Wii and its controllers.

NGCFrance is reporting on some rumblings concerning Wii Sports 2.
Nothing has been confirmed at this time, but it isn’t hard to see that Nintendo would want to make a sequel to the game. Apparently these rumors stem from Japanese Nintendo messageboards.
These same boards are saying that Basketball, Swimming, Hockey, Volleyball, and Horse Riding (this might be horseshoes instead). The biggest part of the rumor is that the new game would have online play, which I see as a very important addition to the sequel.

Random News reported the possibility of a Final Fantasy game for the Nintendo Wii
Recently Square-Enix has announced the latest installment of Dragon Quest on the DS and it seems like they are giving Nintendo a tremendous amount of support contrary to last gen. But there is even a bigger game that Square will be releasing on Nintendo’s home console the Wii, Final Fantasy. From a Square rep. we have recieved a tip that a Final Fantasy is being developed as I type this out. It won’t be a sequal to the latest FF’s but rather it will be similar to the DS’s FF3 and can be said to be a port/remake. This is great news to all Wii owners!

One Shadowman fan, recently sent an email to Valiant Entertainment, the folks who own the rights to the N64 installment of the game, asking if the game would grace the Wii Virtual Console. Upon sending the email, he received a surprising response:
“Thank you for your interest. Yes, we have been speaking with Nintendo regarding Shadowman for the Virtual Console. Although, they have a ton of games to review and select from, Shadowman is on their radar.”
