Nintendo is resurrecting Mario Paint with the announcement of
Mario Spraypaint Wii for the Nintendo Wii! Read the press release for yourself!

The time is right for Mario Spraypaint,” stated Tatsumi Kimishima, CEO of Nintendo America. “With the outstanding success of the Nintendo DS, consumers crave the unique and creative licenses that Nintendo has always been known for. We are very excited to bring Mario Spraypaint to the Wii. We are expecting great success.”

Reggie Fils-Aime, President of Nintendo America, is also hopeful. “The unique Wii controller will lend a genuine feel to Mario Spraypaint. You will use your own natural motions to create legal street art. The speaker embedded in the Wii controller will even make a hissing sound, as if you were holding an actual spray can,” said Reggie, very pleased with the work of the developers. “We are almost done with the can shaking matrix down. You will have to experience to believe it.”

Nintendo America has not provided a release date for Mario Spraypaint, but are optimistic that Q2 2007 will be manageable for a release in Japan, while Q4 2007 can be expected for America and Europe.

A new Government rule may destroy the availability of WiiConnect 24, one of the Nintendo Wii’s new features, in the UK.

The British Government is enforcing a new law which requires standby features of appliances to be slashed from product designs.

Some mentioned products by the Government include set-top boxes, chargers, televisions, lighting, freezers, fridges, washing machines, and computers.

These must be created in a more energy-efficent manner, and standby features will no longer be tolerated.

According to the Government, standby features consume at least 8% of the UK’s energy each year.

In a Recent Article by CNN they sugest a new release date for the Nintendo Wii late September or October.
” While Nintendo has not made any formal announcements about the launch date for the Wii, most of the industry has expected the machine to hit retail at approximately the same time as Sony’s PlayStation 3 (which is set for November 17). Now, industry observers - and insiders - say they expect the system to be available in October, with late September a dark horse candidate. ”

wii power glove

Nintendo introduced their revolutionary controller at the Tokyo Game Show last year (2005). This controller did what many controllers have failed to successfully do in past years.

It added 3D motion sensing, and from the demos that were playable this year at E3 (2006), it seems to have succeeded. So, know the only problem that is presented is marketing the new intuitive controller.

Zaiten has taken it into his hands to re-invent the power glove in a Wii advertisement. He used the power glove to harness the Wii’s power, the controller.

In the conceptual advertisement, he has two Wii controllers on each hand and a nunchuck/thumbstick controller in his right hand. This is a very unique way to advertise the Wii with the power glove due to the fact that the power glove received little love from anyone.

Hopefully Nintendo will be able to successfully advertise and market the Nintendo Wii, something of which Reggie Fils-Aime is excellent at.
