If the concept is something that appeals to you, Trauma Center: Second Opinion is not a game to be missed. The story may be secondary to the gameplay, but the gameplay that is there is a pure joy. The controls are a shining example of using the Wii to its full potential, even surpassing the original DS Trauma Center. While it can be made easy, those looking for a true challenge will appreciate the higher difficulty modes. Long story short, Trauma Center: Second Opinion is a top-notch launch title for the Wii, even for those who have already played the DS game. Given the infamously short print runs of the developer Atlus, I would highly recommend picking this up as soon as possible. That is, if you like fun.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz - If your favorite part about Monkey Ball is the single player experience, you will probably still have a lot of fun with this title and you shouldn’t let this review scare you. If you were looking forward to the multiplayer mode, you should probably keep looking somewhere else. Had this game been packaged with the system instead of Wii sports, there would be many confused owners. At least developers will know how not to use the Wii remote’s features in the future.

This is an excerpt from the Review of the Nintendo Wii Game Trauma Center: Second Opinion by Nintendo World Report
Although the original Trauma Center is a fantastic game, I wouldn’t say it’s for everyone, due to the extreme difficulty. Second Opinion fixes that issue while providing options to make the game even harder for veteran players. It also provides a dozen or so new missions (or about 1/3 more content) and interesting, though not perfect, Wii controls that are fun for everyone to learn. If you’re tired of launch titles that feel like tech demos or mini-game collections, Trauma Center is just what the doctor ordered. (Sorry!)

This is an excerpt from the Review of the Nintendo Wii Game Red Steel by GAME
Despite some indifference, however, Red Steel still comes recommended. It’s not the most sophisticated shooter ever made, but the control system really does show off what Wii can do, while the action in itself is intense, well designed and, above all, enjoyable. Buy this hoping for a truly revolutionary experience, then, and you may be left a touch disappointed, but approach Red Steel expecting an altogether solid FPS, and you’ll discover a game offering clipfulls of fun, with more than a suggestion of what to expecting from future Wii shooters.

SPOnG Score: B-
Red Steel offers a great intro to the charms of the Wii, with its manic sword-waving and nicely fettled shooting. It’s fairly frothy, and if it wasn’t for the Wiimote, it wouldn’t seem at all remarkable. However, it’s pretty much a must-buy if you’re keen on a Wii.
This is an excerpt from the Review of the wii game Wii Sports by Computer and Video Games
Wii Sports is neither bulging in features nor graphically impressive, but when you put everything together, you have a fun package that, although better in places than others, is varied enough to keep you entertained for a good while and brilliant in multiplayer.
We’d have paid £20 for it. You’re getting it in the box with your Wii. You can’t complain but we’re sure some of you will.

This is an excerpt from the Review of the Nintendo Wii Game Madden NFL 07
One could easily criticize EA’s Madden franchise for publishing incremental upgrades from year to year and never really taking new strides to improve upon their formula. This year’s focus on lead blocking and the running game was met favorably by the critics, but Madden NFL 07 for the Wii may well be the most significant contribution EA has made to sports gaming in ages. While the incredibly fun Wii Sports allows those who have never played a video game before to jump right into simplified versions of varied sporting events, Madden 07 is a far more ambitious release. Here you have a full-featured football game with all the plays, game modes and features you’d expect from the regular game, custom tailored to provide players with motion-driven controls that are fun to perform and make excellent use of what the Wii remote control interface has to offer.
